Gamers, the gaming anime series, were released on July 13, 2017, followed by 12 episodes which ended September 28, 2017. It recorded an average IMDb rating of 6.6, yet the audience loved this Japanese series as it is filled with amazement. The fans are eagerly waiting for season 2. The series has shifted its story from a gaming concept to a romantic comedy in the later episodes. Since then, the return of the series is much awaited.

Release date of Gamers Season 2

There are lots of predictions for the release date, but the creators have still not disclosed the premiere date till now. Season 2 is supposed to be on-air, at the end of this year or in 2022, but the wait of fans is not over yet. Certainly, it is affected by Covid and it is one of the reasons for setbacks. This series is adapted from Manga Series- light novels, written by Sekina Aoi and embellished by Saboten. It has a total of twelve volumes, out of which only six volumes were premiered in season one. The series became the top -10 most viewed Japanese series within the month of release. The popularity with demand for season 2 and enough source material diverts my mind to say that there are still good chances for season 2.

The characters depicted in Season 1 are highly admirable and have shown justice with the romantic comedy roles. The audience will be exhilarated if the same cast gets back in the sequel. What We Know So Far

Season 1 proved to be a good piece of animation. We have met Keita Anamo, a high school kid, who enjoys playing video games. He was approached to join the gaming club by a gorgeous girl, Karen Tendou. Keita tried to continue the gaming club but found it competitive and couldn’t meet the expectations. Later on, he rejects the offer. Keita’s life takes twist-turns with all this. The whole story revolves around games, misunderstandings, and romance which has taken the heart of the audience.

Final Words

There is no news of cancellations of season two till now from the makers however, chances seem to be partial. If premiered, we can enjoy streaming AT-X, Tokyo MX, Sun TV BS-11, and OTT platform Netflix as well. It would be interesting to see when season two will come to entertain its fan base. What new it brings to us, but if we connect dots, there are certain chances of engaging season two, where we can meet our fascinating characters of the series again.
