America, happy birthday! Sunday, July 4th, 2021, is Independence Day. Because it is a federal holiday, some businesses will be closed on Sunday and Monday, July 5, to commemorate the occasion. The national holiday is known as “America’s Birthday” is widely commemorated with fireworks, parades, concerts, family cookouts, and other activities.
It’s true over the weekend, and some stores decide to wrap up. But there are some who care extra for their business and remain open even during the holidays.

The holiday, which honours the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, will be observed by the majority of grocery store chains.
Walmart, Publix, Target, Kroger, and Albertsons are all open. However, the majority of pharmacies will be closed or have limited hours of operation.
Most large coffee shops will be open as well, including 7-Eleven, Wawa, Pilot Flying J, and Cumberland Farms.
The majority of big stores and pharmacy stores are open on Sunday and Monday.
Costco is an exception, as it will be closed on July 4th. Trader Joe’s is open until 5 p.m. However it is closed on Sundays. On Monday, both chains will be open.
It’s also possible that your drugstore will be closed on Sunday. One chain, Publix, is closing its pharmacies on that day. To be safe, it’s recommended to phone beforehand, especially since some hours may differ by region.
