Kate Middleton was seen raving on the tennis court! Sports legends are considered like royalty in the United States. However, in England, the monarchy does occasionally participate in sports. The Duchess of Cambridge is a well-known tennis aficionado. She can often be found in the royal box at Wimbledon in her capacity as Patron of the Lawn Tennis Association.
However, Kate’s prowess on the court was demonstrated when she played in a game with US Open Champion Emma Raducanu at a homecoming ceremony for the tournament’s British champions. Middleton is also a capable player, and she played well with the champion. On Friday morning, she demonstrated some fantastic serves as the Patron of the Lawn Tennis Federation.
A Playful Tennis Moment Between The Royal and Sports Star
She was able to have a tennis score moment because of the royal engagement: She hit the court with her hair slicked back into a high ponytail, wearing a navy zip-up pullover, a complementing navy-and-white tennis skirt, and white tennis shoes. After the match, Raducanu told reporters, “We were just talking about the US Open and how fantastic it was for us, but also the country.” She was incredibly encouraging, and it was a delight to play tennis with her. She has a fantastic game and a fantastic forehand.”In photos from the occasion, Raducanu and Kate are seen playing tennis in navy blue and white outfits, laughing and smiling. Kate can be seen fist-pumping the air in joy in one of the photos.

US Open Champion
Following her achievement at Wimbledon, the 18-year-old British athlete became an instant superstar. She was the first woman to qualify for the US Open through the qualifying rounds, and she easily won the championship in New York. Raducanu became the first British woman to win a Grand Slam singles championship since Virginia Wade in 1977, thanks to her incredible run at Flushing Meadows. Raducanu cruised through the field, winning three qualifying matches and seven main tournament matches without dropping a single set. Raducanu wore a Chanel monochrome ensemble dripping in Tiffany’s diamonds to the prestigious Met Gala last week. And the jewels were only a taste of what’s to come for Raducanu off the court; just this week, Tiffany & Co. appointed Raducanu its newest brand ambassador.
They Joined a Few Other Players
Kate met with teen Olympians in her capacity as patron of the Lawn Tennis Affiliation, in addition to this homecoming commemoration for British athletes who competed in the U.S. Open in New York earlier this month. The invited young individuals are all members of the LTA Youth program, which was created to stimulate involvement in sports and encourage a new generation of tennis players, regardless of age, ability, gender, disability, or whatever background.
Joe Salisbury, Alfie Hewitt, and Gordon Reid were among the renowned tennis talents that joined the 18-year-old British champion. The foursome played a short match after a brief talk, and Raducanu was so delighted with her royal doubles partner that she told reporters, “her forehand is excellent!”The duchess also teased her fans when she posted a photo of herself with the sportsmen to her social media account, with the text- in the presence of champions.
Royals and Their love for Sports
“Her Royal Highness is enthusiastic about promoting grassroots tennis and trying to encourage people from all circumstances to become involved in the sport,” the Duchess’s office stated in a statement. The entire royal family rallied behind Raducanu when she stunned the world by becoming the first woman to enter the U.S. Open through the qualifying rounds, make it to the finals, and win. “Big congrats to EmmaRaducanu on your stunning champion play-off and historic Grand Slam victory!” Kate chose to write on the Kensington Royal social media accounts. We are all incredibly proud of you. Congratulations on your incredible achievements in this year’s #USOpen, @LeylahFernandez; it’s been a delight to watch you compete. C.”
“I express my congratulations to you on your accomplishment in winning the United States Open Tennis Championships,” Queen Elizabeth said on Instagram in a rare personal remark to the winner. It’s incredible attainment for someone at a young age, and it’s a credit to your hard work and dedication. I am super sure that your and your opponent Leylah Fernandez’s impressive play will inspire the future generation of tennis players. I extend to you and your many fans my heartfelt greetings.”
