Seth Meyers came back to his favorite target of mockery, Rudy Giuliani, on Monday. The ex-mayor and lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, and his son Andrew were reportedly banned for 3 months from coming on Fox News Shows.
The reason for this ban was the defamation claims against Fox News and the Giuliani’s from Dominion and Smartmatic over falsehoods about their voting machines.
Rudy Guiliani, who used to come on Fox News Shows very often to spout false assertions of election scams, is battling a 1.3 Billion dollars’ defamation lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems.
The company is charging Fox News 1.6 Billion Dollars to let guests such as Rudy Guiliani make the claims on its frequencies. Fox News has failed to sack the court case.
Smartmatic, which is another voting systems company, is charging Fox, Guiliani, and many others for 2.7 Billion Dollars. Fox disputed the story, telling Deadline that Rudy Guiliani had not been on the show as he is just not relevant.
Seth Meyers said they had banned Rudy from Fox; “it is just like banning a turtle from its shell.”
Even though Politico did not report on the reason for the ban, Seth Meyers gave some ideas. Meyers said that maybe the decision to ban Guiliani had something to do with him being a foolish person under criminal investigation and undergoing a million-dollar defamation court case and who habitually admits to things.
Seth called Guiliani a Goblin
Seth Meyers also called Rudy an imaginary goblin. Italian grandmothers threaten kids if they do not brush their teeth. A night before Rudy was ready to appear on “Fox and Friends” on September 11, he got to know about the ban.
That might, Seth Meyers kidded, explain why Rudy looked so untidy at the time of a 9/11 memorial dinner that day, where he gave a pointless speech about how he went out with Prince Andrew.
The reason for the ban can be Rudy regularly visiting Fox and showing others abusive messages and calls and waving around unreasonably like a child in Times Square striving to convert you into some weird religion, Meyers said.
Meyers said Rudy played a major part in the lie before showing a clip of him jostling voter scam lies on Fox.
“Late Night” with Seth Meyers
Late Night with Seth Meyers is an American talk show hosted by Seth Meyers on NBC. The show is produced by Mike Shoemaker, ex “Saturday Night Live” producer. Several clips of the Late Night with Seth Meyers are available on YouTube.
The show begins from NBC Studio 8G in the Comcast Building at 30 Rockefeller Center, NY. Right beneath the NBC Studio 8G is Studio 6B, home of “The Tonight Show.”
Late Night with Seth Meyers show focuses on politics, as well. Following the resignation of Jon Stewart in 2015 from “The Daily Show,” Seth Meyer’s program has slowly moved to the “longer-form political comedy” style The Daily Show is acknowledged for.
An announcement was made in the year 2016 declaring that the show would produce a couple of live episodes after the last nights of Republican and Democratic National Conventions. The program is recorded live; however, too early during the day to feature content from every night’s convention.
Thus, Seth Meyers decided to host the show live to have the prime opportunity for a fresh take on how every convention concluded.
Guests such as Carlo Mirarchi and Leslie Jones were featured in the first live episode. The episode featured a live “Ya Burnt” part, as well.
In the second live episode, guests like Michael Che, Jessi Klein, and Colin Jost were featured. It featured a live “Jokes Seth Can’t Tell” segment, too.
