Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, for families having a low or medium income, financial assistance has proved to be a blessing over the United States, with sending stimulus checks that became life savior for most needy people among the parts that were strongly hit by the pandemic.
But now the decision of shifting the power to the state governments has been taken by the federal government. Therefore, now the obligation of ensuring that the financial aid reaches their respective residents are upon state governments.
till, there are certain stimulus checks yet to be offered although citizens are getting continuous financial support through several other programs.
In the United States, Stimulus checks are not the only way of extending financial support but instead, there are also other benefits plans like payment under child tax credit and other tax breaks.

To know about all the available support plans that are being provided in each of 50 states of the U.S. we have a complete guide and you can also check where stimulus checks get prepared and what is the actual amount that is being sent out.
Latest Updates on Stimulus Checks
Certain states have already given out the fourth stimulus check and the remaining ones are underway for bringing a new law that will assist residents this November. Since we are already close to the end of this year, every state is involved in making plans for providing future financial support programs.
Check out our complete guide according to each state about the stimulus checks as well as payments that are being planned to offer to residents.
Alabama Stimulus
There is very little chance that the residents of Alabama will receive the next stimulus. Although a campaign named ‘Altogether’ has been launched by the state government, the same is not able to give enough relief to citizens or businesses.
Not enough information has been out yet from the state government but as per the latest news, it is being heard that several bills have been signed into law by Governor Kay Ivey which would result in the use of federal support money for making the way for starting the development of new prisons in the state.
Alaska Stimulus
The state is considering sending the extra revenues earned from the state from increased production of oil to the pockets revenues. Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy said, “it’s entirely within our capacity to help residents manage their bills with a supplemental PFD of 1,236 dollars”.
PFD implies Permanent Fund Dividend and for helping out the households, the state government is emphasizing the same. Also, concerning the winter heating bills of the residents, the state is trying to find a way.
With rising oil & energy prices, now is the perfect time for legislators to get in touch with their constituents & to act in their best interests. Read my recent op-ed to hear more about why we must pay out the 2nd half of this year’s PFD.https://t.co/KsokINjxdo

Arizona Stimulus
There is very little chance that the state will provide any new financial support as Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has decided to motivate residents to look for employment opportunities by using federal funds instead of sending payments for not working amidst Covid-19.
“Back to Work” Program formed by the state provides a one-time payment of 1,000 dollars to unemployed people accepting part-time work and an amount of 2,000 dollars to those unemployed people who accept a full-time job.
Jobs, jobs, jobs: Arizona is projected to add more than 700,000 new jobs over the next decade, according to a new @azcommerce report. And Arizona’s job growth is projected to beat out the U.S. rate by more than 3X. MORE: https://t.co/j7rOP1T0qj

Arkansas Stimulus
With the early end of financial unemployment support of $300 weekly, in a legal fight against its very own citizens, Arkansas has knocked the court’s door. The aid was ended early by 26 states and Arkansas was also included among them, saying that the state is not keen to send funds to its residents.
Although, the state has taken care of the nutrition of the families having low-income by taking the initiative under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which helps incapable families in buying food.
California Stimulus – Golden State Stimulus II
So far, California seemed to be the most helpful towards its residents with the launch of two parts of the Golden State Stimulus: Golden State Stimulus I and Golden State Stimulus II. The payment under Golden State Stimulus II varied between $600 and $1,100 and was supposed to be received by a maximum of 31st October.
However, residents who either became late in filing their taxes returns or were yet to get paper checks can get their new stimulus payment in November.

Colorado Stimulus
There are still numerous programs in Colorado that are available for the people who need financial support. The state government says, “Despite the arrival of COVID-19 vaccines, the pandemic and its economic consequences continue to affect Colorado and we recognize that Coloradans still need human services”.
There are links on the state government website for residents to apply for: cash assistance (TANF), employment assistance, child care assistance, food assistance (SNAP), and energy assistance (LEAP).
Connecticut Stimulus
As per the September 2021 announcement by Governor Ned Lamont, the “Back to Work” program by Connecticut offers the payment of 1,000 dollars to applicants who qualify and return to the work following the unemployment of eight weeks. The plan is still applicable in November 2021.
Delaware Stimulus
The residents of Delaware won’t get any further stimulus checks in November, since federal stimulus money of $50 million has already been spent by the state for providing job training for unemployed people and students addressing that the best economic stimulus will be when people return to their work again.
Florida Stimulus
There was a one-time payment of $1,000 under the fourth stimulus check in Florida but the same was available to only certain groups of employees like first responders and teachers since they stepped up even throughout the pandemic and the checks were sent for expressing thanks.
Georgia Stimulus
Another state that has taken care of its educators in Georgia. The framework was only available to full-time teachers and administrators receiving a payment of $1,000 and an amount of $500 was given to part-time teachers along with that the checks were also supposed to be sent out to pre-K educators.
Hawaii Stimulus
The lawmakers in Hawaii wanted to provide teachers with the payment of $2,200, but Governor David Ige rejected the same, saying that lawmakers don’t have the right to provide any instruction regarding the utilization of federal money to the Department of Education.
However, other ways have been included by Ige for helping the state citizens and the use of federal money to even out the regular expenses for residents like Education costs.
Some parents will get to save a little more money thanks to federal funds. Fees for A+ programs were supposed to increase by $80/month in November to address rising operational costs and staffing challenges. But HIDOE announced it’ll be using federal funds to offset the increase.

Idaho Stimulus
The residents have not received many benefits in Idaho, a one-time tax refund of $50 has been sent to taxpayers which of course couldn’t help since the amount is extremely small and the citizens were expecting a larger sum. The state was included among those certain states who ended the federal unemployment benefits early.
Illinois Stimulus
Though the state has helped its residents with several other payments like a child tax credit, unemployment benefits, and earned income tax credit but Illinois, never planned to initiate stimulus checks payments.
Indiana Stimulus
The state ended the unemployment benefits early on 19th June as per the decision by Indiana governor Eric Holcomb that was even earlier than the date mentioned in the American Rescue Plan, 6th September.
That led to a legal battle against the state since the job seekers in the state were not happy with the decision and that was unfair also. Consequently, following much discussion, the outcome was that the payment of federal unemployment benefits to those who qualify had to be made by the state till the federal end date, resentfully.
But Indiana doesn’t come under a state who takes initiative for providing sufficient financial support to its residents if the same is avoidable.
Iowa Stimulus
In Iowa, no plans have been made ever for the payment under the fourth stimulus check since the beginning. This was among those first states who drew out the federal unemployment programs.
Kansas Stimulus
Currently, there is no update if Kansas is planning for a fourth stimulus check. The state of Kansas either denied, paid off, or failed to cash more than $17 million in stimulus checks (12,921 checks).
Kentucky Stimulus
The state may be planning to offer fourth stimulus checks being sent out since there is an increase in unemployment in Kentucky but there is already some comforting news in the state due to 5.9% cost-of-living adjustment next year, which is the highest rise in the last five decades.
Most of the residents will be experiencing a financial boost as 1,009,092 citizens of Kentucky are getting Social Security benefits.

Louisiana Stimulus
The state has gone through not just from the coronavirus as well as from Hurricane Ida. Essentially, there is financial aid for Louisiana residents.
The Red Cross has worked to provide emergency financial support to people in Louisiana, whose homes were critically affected due to Hurricane Ida, whereas those who survived may be entitled to a one-time payment of $500 per household from the government, and also the assistance for temporary housing.
Update on LA’s new sheltering program for Ida survivors- 1 month after being created, 461 travel trailers deployed to the hardest hit parishes, families now occupying more than 200 units. Maine Stimulus
The state is among few of those states not preparing to send out payments under fourth stimulus checks before the end of this year.
Maryland Stimulus
When it comes to Covid-19 relief payments, this state is among those most generous states with not imposing any state or local taxes on unemployment benefits.
Along with that, Maryland sent out an amount between $300 and $500 under a stimulus check to residents who filed for earned income tax credit. In addition, a sum of $700 million has been kept aside for helping farmworkers and meatpackers.
Massachusetts Stimulus
In recent months, with the maximum amount of covid-19 relief funds sent out for areas like housing, the state doesn’t seem to plan for another stimulus payment.

Michigan Stimulus
Michigan sent out $500 to their teachers as hazard pay bonuses for boosting the locals’ economic situation in the state. However, there was controversy since the news came out that lawmakers utilized the COVID-19 relief money for paying themselves these hazards pay bonuses, and they were supposed to return that money.

Minnesota Stimulus
In Minnesota, there has been a report that the state hasn’t lost any amount of tax amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This signifies that there is a massive gain and being discussed by the state legislators about how to spend this money. Some have even called for infrastructure investment, although residents of the state are expecting that they could get a next stimulus check.
Mississippi Stimulus
Mississippi, being one of those states who ended the payments under unemployment benefits stimulus, is currently not planning to send out any further stimulus check payments. Currently, the point of discussion is rather about the spending of the 1.8 billion dollars from the American Rescue Plan.

Missouri Stimulus
In comparison to other states, Missouri residents didn’t get much financial aid. The state was even among those who ended the federal unemployment benefits program early.
Montana Stimulus
The state officials in Montana had decided to use the COVID-19 relief funds for local infrastructure projects, along with 86 water and sewer projects across the state by ending the payments under stimulus checks early.
Nebraska Stimulus
There is not much concern about sending out another stimulus checks payment since as of November 2021, the unemployment rate in Nebraska is only 2.2 percent and that is the lowest among all states.
Nebraska has the lowest unemployment rate in the nation, a mere 2.2%. It seems like great news, but the number also shouts that Nebraska has a severe labor shortage that weighs heavily on the state’s economy. https://t.co/zULPqCziGH
— Sioux City Journal (@scj) November 4, 2021
Nevada Stimulus
Though the state got much of federal money, the same won’t be going for the payment of a fourth stimulus check. However, the Child Tax Credit has been sent to almost all working households in Nevada with an amount between $3,000 and $3,600 for every child.
50 percent of the credit will be sent out in monthly payments, which began sending out in July and will continue through December this year, whereas the remaining half will be sent through tax refunds in 2021.
With the gaming industry in the state that brought in nearly a billion dollars a month, the state has been doing very well when it comes to the coronavirus pandemic, but they address that this may decrease once stimulus checks are a thing of the past.

New Hampshire Stimulus
In New Hampshire, a family of three having no income gets a payment of $1,086 per month and that is the significant financial assistance currently.
New Jersey Stimulus
There is no expectation of a fourth stimulus check in New Jersey, although people in the state can get a tax rebate of $500.
New Mexico Stimulus
In New Mexico, the payments under the stimulus check are yet to be sent by the end of November, since more than 4,000 residents with low-income will be getting stimulus checks from the state.
An amount of $750 can be received by them as financial aid. Residents could apply last by October for the same but the deadline has been passed now and the checks are supposed to hit bank accounts by November.
Legislative analysts say New Mexico failed to meet federal reporting requirements outlining the state’s use of federal stimulus funding, though it isn’t clear there’s any legal consequence https://t.co/6tzoe1e1to #nmleg

New York Stimulus
Some other alternative ways have been taken by New York to support residents amidst this difficult time. As of October, a higher payment under Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) has been brought by Governor Kathy Hochul.
For instance, there is a fund of $2.1 billion for undocumented workers in New York, who couldn’t get financial assistance through the federal stimulus. Also, in November, the sum of $100 million will be sent out by the state to workers in tourism-related jobs that have been wiped out.
While New York is recovering, too many been left behind.
That’s why we are announcing a major investment in our tourism workers and businesses to help this critical industry get back on track. ⬇

North Carolina Stimulus
As of now, there is no update concerning stimulus payments or any other form of financial support by the state.
North Dakota Stimulus
The US Department of Education signaled North Dakota to utilize its American Rescue Plan money for supporting K-12 schools and students, with $101 million remitted to the state for this area in August 2021. Though certain payments took time to come out, and some of those eligible are still awaited.
Ohio Stimulus
In Ohio, no plans have been prepared yet for a fourth stimulus check, however, the state already has numerous other programs for helping their people and the same can be discovered on the website of the state.
Oklahoma Stimulus
The state has sent out a one-time payment of $1,200 in an attempt to reduce the numbers of unemployment and the payments have been sent to only those residents who returned to work.
Oregon Stimulus
Since August, no new information has come out regarding Coronavirus relief funds for Oregon residents.
Pennsylvania Stimulus
Nothing has been provided as another stimulus payment by Pennsylvania and taking into account that the state already has the unused federal funds of $7 billion the residents are outraged.
Since it’s spooky season, you want to know what’s scary? Pennsylvania has $7 BILLION in unspent federal funds. With those funds we can:
⏩Invest in anti-violence measures
⏩Small business COVID relief
⏩Invest into our public schools

In Rhode Island, workers were expecting a payment of $1,400 under a fourth stimulus check to recipients of Social Security. But it couldn’t be achieved despite online campaigns.
South Carolina Stimulus
A sum of $8.8 billion has been distributed to South Carolina under Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan Act. Many parts of the money will be sent towards education, but still, some COVID-19 relief funds have not been yet distributed. South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster said, “We’ve got a lot of money we can use and we’re in a great position to make some big steps, some transformative steps.”

South Dakota Stimulus
South Dakota was the only state that opted for not receiving the payment as unemployment benefits of $300 weekly, which was allocated from the federal funds, and that has been issued for six weeks beginning in August in the form of the Lost Wages Assistance.
A rumour of Fourth Stimulus Check worth $15k Trending on Internet
Tennessee Stimulus
There has been a new payment being sent out in Tennessee, but just for certain workers. The Tennessee state legislature passed a bill to provide teachers with hazard pay as thanks to educators amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. A Sum of $1,000 will be sent out to full-time teachers and $500 to part-time teachers.
These payments are yet to be received by this year, so probably these checks must be sent out in November or December if they haven’t already.
Texas Stimulus
No new information regarding fourth stimulus checks has been confirmed yet but some schools are considering increasing the pay of teachers.
For instance, Fort Worth and Arlington will raise the pay of district employees by 4%, Denton and Mansfield decide to raise by 2%, whereas a bonus of $500 will be provided to Denton employees.
Utah Stimulus
It was confirmed that in the third round of payments, Utah residents will receive the most valuable stimulus, with an average check of $2,784. Along with that, the state has the second-lowest unemployment rate of 2.9% in November 2021, and therefore, no planning has been made for new stimulus checks.
Vermont Stimulus
There is no information about a fourth stimulus check, but in Vermont, there is money that will be sent to those who moved to the state.
An amount of $7,500 will be reimbursed under the new worker relocation but it is available only for those who relocated to the state after 1st July 2021, whilst this money will also be sent to those who relocated to the state as remote workers as of February next year.

Washington Stimulus
Even though the state has been called for the fourth round of checks, there has been no talk regarding that and even the possibilities seem to be much less.
West Virginia Stimulus
Thousands of stimulus checks were left unclaimed in West Virginia. The push of checking the eligibility of its residents by the state government and it is still likely to do the same. However, the state government should pay more attention to helping citizens in these crucial times through emergency housing vouchers.
Wisconsin Stimulus
Earlier in 2021, Wisconsin came up with the Wisconsin Emergency Rental Assistance (WERA) program, although the state already has an Emergency Assistance program under which a one-time payment is sent out to the families in need.
The Wisconsin Emergency Rental Assistance Program (WERA) is meant for eligible households that have been impacted by the pandemic and need assistance to help with current or overdue bills.

Wyoming Stimulus
There is very little possibility that the state will come up with another stimulus check. ‘Altogether’ campaign has been launched by the state government but the same is not much helpful in assisting residents or businesses with enough COVID-19 relief.
New information regarding another stimulus seems to be rare after the latest news came out about the state that several bills have been signed into law by Gov. Kay Ivey that would make the way to begin the building up of new prisons for the state with the use of federal funds.
I have signed an Executive Order to provide tax relief to Wyoming businesses. It:
💵 removes UI benefit claims from much of 2020
💵 provides tax credits for employers who experienced increased unemployment taxes in 2021.
