Some names go down in history as a legend, and Billy, the Kid, is such a character of the wild west who is one of the biggest and famous outlaws of the wild west. So much so that though he died in 1881, people claimed to be Billy even in the early 20th century.
His life was full of action, drama, gunfights, bloodshed, making him the perfect material for a movie, and hence in 1988, we saw the first-ever motion picture of Young Gun and a second installment to it in 1990. They were built around his life rather than on his life.

There have been no official announcements regarding the release date of ‘Guns 3:Alias Billy the Kid so far. However, the star of the Franchise, Emilio Estevez, has revealed in an interview given to a big agency in March 2021 that a third party to the exciting and action-packed franchise is definitely in the works.
Other details like the ones involving production etc. are deliberately kept secret, which has just increased our inquisitiveness.

But what is for sure is that Guns 3 is in the early and initial stages of production. The writer of the franchise, John Fusco, had teased a reunion with Estevez, the protagonist, via tweet, in January 2021. But all this is kept a secret from the fans who have waited for 30 long years. All this is making fans reaching a date of release difficult for us as the distributors, studio, date of start of filming date, all is unknown.

Since these three actors are the only confirmed cast members, we are curious about how they’ll reprise their memorable “Young Guns” characters.
It has been more than 30 years since the release of “Young Guns 2,” which means the stars of the 1990 movie are, quite obviously, not the young men they once were. While it is more than possible for the original Regulators to get back in the saddle, “Guns 3” would need to create a story to justify focusing on the older, returning Regulators.
This could mean the story is set during the tail end — if not long after — the heyday of the Wild West, which puttered out shortly after the turn of the century.

The story will highly be influenced and inspired by the biography of Bushy will Roberts, who claimed to be Billy the kid till the early 20th century. The exact adventurous events to follow remain a mystery, but what is crystal clear is that the third part will bring us the highly coveted wild west outlaws story.
It will not be just another story, but a tale of a highly renowned outlaw of our own Billy the kid.

There has been no trailer/teaser of the Guns 3. From the looks of it, it seems that we will see a teaser of it in the mid of 2022. However, this depends on how much the production process is expedited.
The wait isn’t going to be much as the fans have waited for 30 years, and a year would not affect them. The secretive approach of the makers is just going to increase the excitement of the fans.
