The pandemic has been resurfacing with a new more transmissible variant of the coronavirus, Omicron, which was first discovered in South Africa, and soon after multiple cases were reported from all over the World.
The latest mutation of the virus is said to originate from the common cold as they share a similar genetic character.

Biden had been recently receiving backlash for not taking responsibility as a President and carrying out major decisions without authorizing or conducting any proper research.
The recent travel ban was severely criticized as it also included countries that had no present cases of omicron and this reinstated the fact that Trump would have been reprimanded for a similar action but Biden is being given leniency for no apparent reason.

Biden stressed that unvaccinated individuals should know that they are not protected from the virus and that is good reason to be concerned but those who have been administered the vaccine and booster shots can gather with their families during the holidays.
Biden also informed reporters that the circumstances are not the same as March 2020 and a major part of the population is vaccinated which means that we have an edge against the virus this time.
Most states have reinstated tougher restrictions to curb the spread of the virus as Biden warned that unvaccinated individuals are at a higher risk of contracting the virus and getting severe symptoms or possibly dying.
