Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga Release Date: Cancelled or Renewed?

Lego games have stormed the gaming community every time they released a new game. While during the first few years, TT games surprised the fans with 2-3 new Lego games every year, in the recent past, they have failed to catch up.

As expected by the fans and pundits, they reached a saturation point and before you know it, they suddenly stopped making any new Lego games.

After multiple delays and long years of development, finally the much-awaited Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is coming out. It’s slated for an April 5, 2022 launch and since the news broke out, fans cannot contain their excitement.

Although Polygon was the first to report about the release date of Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Saga, the official news about the release date came out in the new overview trailer of the game.

Yu-gi-oh Master Duel: Is There Any Potential Release Date & Rumors?

The Skywalker Saga is among the largest Lego games ever and it is expected to be a massive hit among the fans of the Lego games and even the ones who have never played a Lego game.

It will have a suite of new features, a super interesting storyline, and gameplay that makes things more interesting than ever.

What Can You Expect?

A lot can be expected from this new game, not only it is more ambitious but has open world interpretations, different planets, and even the regular linear story missions.

It took the developers a lot of planning and efforts to bring all of these together and the overview trailer released by Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment shows all the aspects of the new game.

All of these new features account for the multiple delays surrounding the release of the game.

TT Games have developed and produced the new Lego Star Wars for all platforms, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, and even Nintendo Switch. For the fans of Lego games, there couldn’t have been any better news.

How’s the Gameplay?

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will have a recreation of all the nine mainline films and the fans can choose from as many as 300 different characters.

It is up to the players which film to start with, from “A New Hope” to “The Rise of Skywalker”, and the overall gameplay, combat, combos, and everything else has been enhanced and made better in what TT games are calling “biggest Lego video game yet”.

The developers have introduced the traditional cover system that allows the players to aim and shoot just like most third-person shooter games.

In this new game, players can even switch and jump from one planet to another not only to explore but also to play the side missions.

When you are exploring the different planets, you will get upgrades and character classes that apply to all the 300+ characters present in the game. The trailer has created a lot of buzz in the gaming community and it ends with a Mumble Mode.

For new Lego fans who haven’t played a Lego game before, Mumble Mode was present in the early Lego games and here the characters do not do voice acting but do gestures and mumbles to convey the lines.

For those who pre-order the digital version of the Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, there are added perks. They will get early access to the Trooper Character Pack which is slated for a later release.

It comes with a season pass where players will get access to items from The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, and Rogue One. In addition to that, players will also get classic Obi-Wan if they buy the digital version.

Obi-Wan won’t be available to buy separately. Instead of the digital version, if you are buying the physical Deluxe Edition version, you will get a Lego Minifigure of Luke Skywalker as a gift.

A couple of months more and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will make its way to the gaming community.
