Marvel Show Including Daredevil, Jessica Jones Luke cage Arriving Disney+ March 16th

A few days after Disney secretly disclosed that Netflix’s Marvel episodes would be moving over to Disney Plus for Canadian consumers in March, we now know when all six of the series would be moving over to Disney’s own streaming service in the United States.

On Feb. 28, Netflix canceled the critically praised Marvel series “Avengers: Infinity War,” but there’s no need to fret. They’ll be on Disney+ soon.

A slew of Marvel titles, including “The Punisher,” “Iron Fist,” and “The Defenders,” will join Disney’s streaming service on March 16, according to a press release.

There is a strong possibility that the MCU futures of some of these characters are in jeopardy because Disney revealed today that they would begin streaming on Disney Plus in mid-March, along with all of Marvel’s other superhero programs.

According to Disney’s streaming chief, Michael Paull, Marvel’s approaching IP homecoming is a greater integration of the company’s brand and a sort of evolution for Disney Plus as a platform.

“We have experienced great success with this on Disney Plus across our global markets and will continue that here in the US as well by offering our consumers not only great content but also a set of features that help ensure a viewing experience most suitable for them and their family,’

He continued. ‘ I understand what Paull is saying.

In comparison to other countries like Canada, where the platform contains the more adult-oriented Star content hub, Disney Plus’ programming has tended to target younger demographics in the US.

In response, Disney is prepared to introduce new parental controls, including profile-specific rating limitations, PIN locks for individual user profiles, and “Kid-Proof Exit” questions designed to prevent youngsters from tampering with settings put in place by adults.

In addition to “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” the streaming service revealed that “Moon Knight,” another superhero series, will premiere on its platform two weeks before “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.”

The first season of “Daredevil,” which premiered in 2015, was an instant fan favorite. “Spider-Man: No Way Home” was a huge success because of Charlie Cox’s portrayal of blind lawyer Matt Murdock, who moonlights as the titular vigilante.

It’s understandable that Disney would take these measures in light of how much more explicit the previous Netflix shows tend to be in comparison to their Marvel-produced cousins. When compared to Hulu, which already houses R-rated movies and TV shows starring Marvel characters such as Deadpool and MODOK, the decision to move the Defenders to Disney Plus is interesting.
