Shawn Levy (Arrival, Stranger Things) is in negotiations to direct Marvel Studios‘ Deadpool 3 with Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They previously worked together on Free Guy and Netflix’s The Adam Project, which was released earlier this year.
Reese and Wernick are working on the Deadpool 3 script. Wendy Molyneux & Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin (Bob’s Burgers) wrote the prior draught. Reese and Wernick wrote the screenplays for Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018).

Following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, Deadpool 3 will be the first film in the franchise to be released. The movie’s release date has not yet been announced.
The first two Deadpool movies were huge box office hits, grossing over $1.5 billion worldwide. Tim Miller directed the first picture, and David Leitch directed Deadpool 2 based on the Marvel character developed by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld.
