On Friday, the Teasing Master Takagi-san anime’s official website unveiled a new teaser graphic for the franchise’s upcoming anime feature. The film will launch on June 10th, according to the new visual.
Along with the main actors, the entire primary staff from the anime’s third season will return to reprise their roles.
In 2013, Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday Mini magazine began serializing Sichir Yamamoto’s Teasing Master Takagi-san manga. In 2016, the story was relocated to Monthly Shonen Sunday alongside Yamamoto’s manga series In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki, which will be adapted into an anime by CloverWorks in April.
The award-winning manga has spawned several spin-off series as well as a mobile game, Karakai Jzu no Takagi-san: Kyun-Kyun Records, which will be available for Android and iOS in Spring 2022.
From 2014 to 2015, Shogakukan’s Yomiuri Chksei Shimbun magazine serialized the Ashita wa Doybi spin-off manga, which centered on other members of Takagi and Nishikata’s class and amassed two tanks on volumes.
Koi ni Koisuru Yukari-chan, another classmate-centric spin-off, ran in Monthly Shonen Sunday from 2017 until 2020, completing 5 tanks on volumes. In 2017, Shogakukan’s MangaONE began serializing the Karakai Jzu no (Moto) Takagi-san spin-off manga, which is about adult Takagi and Nishikata’s married lives.
The first season of the Teasing Master Takagi-san anime adaptation premiered in Winter 2018, followed by the second season in Summer 2019 and the third season, which is now airing. Shin-Ei Animation is in charge of the animation, with Hiroaki Akagi (Combatants Will Be Dispatched!, Those Snow White Notes) as the director and Michiko Yokote (Handa-Kun, The Great Jay Will Not Be Defeated!) as the composer.

Teasing Master Takagi-san is an English-language manga published by Yen Press. The first season of the anime was licensed by Crunchyroll and Funimation, while the second season was licensed by Netflix. Sentai Filmworks has acquired the rights to the third season, as well as the planned film.
