Ozark’s Season 4, Part 1—the first half of the show’s final season—ended with a bang, so it’s safe to assume you had an idea of what to expect from the second half. Organization chief Omar Navarro (Felix Dolis) is now in prison, and Javi Elizonndro (Alfonso Herrera), the new leader of the cartel, has taken over. Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner) was enraged when she learned that Wyatt Langmore had been murdered by her husband, Darlene Snell.
It’s reasonable to assume that Ruth and Javi’s ongoing showdown would be the primary focus of the series’ final run of episodes. That wasn’t the case, unfortunately. In the first episode of Season 4, Part 2, Ruth kills Javi in front of Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman), Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney), and Clare Shaw (Sarah Michelle Gellar) (Katrina Lenk).
You can’t get rid of the cartel, as we learned throughout and at the end of the TV show. The cartel’s tenacity is well-known. And there’s always a new strategy in play. Javi’s mother, Camila Elizonndro (Veronica Falcón), appeared in the first episode of the series. A small role in Ozark’s strategy at first, Camila soon emerged as one of the most influential figures in the series. Finally, it’s Camila who has the greatest influence on the show’s course and the outcome.
Who Is Ozarks Camilla In The Series?
Camila Elizonndro is the mother of cartel boss Javi, who has an MBA and lives in Ozark. In addition, she is the sister of former cartel head Omar Navarro, who was detained by the FBI after Maya Miller blew the whole thing up and arrested him.
When it’s revealed that Camila is Omar’s sister midway through the season and that she was the one who put a hit on Omar, seeking to have him murdered in prison, it’s a bit perplexing. Remember that Omar told the Byrdes that he wanted to make sure everyone in his organization felt that he was responsible for Javi’s death, rather than Ruth Langmore, and not Ruth Langmore. He wanted it to appear as if he was seizing control and making a show of strength in his leadership position.
This is why Camila tried to have him killed in prison and why Camila eventually (spoiler!) killed Ruth. Camila had him killed in prison because of this. Retribution for the death of her brother, Javi, or a young lady who lives in a trailer park, it didn’t matter.
In the end, Camila succeeds her brother and son as the new cartel boss, demonstrating that she is just as capable of violence (the murders) as she is of business (the deal with the FBI). Camila is a personal personification of the idea that you cannot resist the forces of certain hazardous institutions; you can only expect to kick the can down the road.
Veronica Falcón Is The Actress That Portrays Ozarks Camilla
Falcón is a dancer and choreographer in addition to being an actress. Acting and dancing in Spanish-language films have been her life’s work since she was born and reared in Mexico City.
In 2016, at the age of 50, Falcón began pursuing English-language parts for the first time in her career when she relocated to the United States. The TNT series Queen of the South, in which she starred for three seasons and 39 episodes, was her first major role in the United States.
On Television, Falcón Has Made An Especially Strong Impression In The Last Few Years
Even though Falcón has acted in a few films, such as Jungle Cruise and the science-fiction film Voyagers, she has become well-known for her work on television. It should be noted that she has also appeared in an episode of HBO’s anthology series Room 104, as well as Marc Cherry’s sequel to Paramount+’s Why Women Kill: Season 2.
Fans of comic books and superheroes may remember Falcón as Mama Donya, a tutor to Karli Morgenthau, a villain in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (many believe she originally had a larger role that was cut down). Fans of HBO’s Perry Mason may recall her as Matthew Rhys’ love interest, who was also a successful aviator and landowner.
Falcón’s next projects include an appearance on Perry Mason Season 2 and a role in the film adaptation of Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe.
