BTS will not be attending the Billboard Music Awards in 2022.
The Billboard Music Awards, which will be held in Las Vegas on May 15th, have been told that BTS will not be attending this year. This was confirmed on May 9th KST by sources in the music industry.
Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Billboard Global Artist (excluding the U.S.) (twice nominated with “Butter” and “Permission To Dance”), Top Billboard Global Song (excluding the U.S.), and top rock song are all among the six categories in which BTS has been nominated at this year’s awards show.
The seven nominations they garnered at the Billboard Music Awards are the most for any group or duet in any year.
BTS, on the other hand, will not be attending the awards ceremony because they are now focused on their new album. Supposedly, if they win any of their nominations, the band will provide an acceptance speech in video form.
