When Johnny Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard brought up British model Kate Moss in court, his lawyers were seen cheering. Amber has said before that Johnny pushed Kate Moss down the stairs once, and she said it again in court on Monday.
In Johnny’s multimillion-dollar defamation trial, it looked like his lawyers had been waiting for Amber to tell the court what happened.
Johnny is suing Amber Heard for $50 million because she said that he abused her while they were married, which caused him to lose his job and social standing. Amber filed a lawsuit against him for $100 million.
The trial is going on right now in Virginia. It is live-streamed and open to the public. A video of the hearing shows Johnny smiling and his lawyers cheering when the name Kate Moss comes up.
Amber was talking about a fight she had with Johnny in March 2015, during which her sister Whitney Heard tried to protect her. She told me, “Whitney had her back to the stairs, and Johnny hit her with a punch.
I don’t think twice, I don’t wait. I just think of Kate Moss and stairs right away. I struck at him. I had never hit Johnny in all the time we had been together. And I hit him in the face for the first time. He also didn’t push my sister down the stairs.”

Johnny and his lawyer, Ben Chu, both smiled when Amber said “Kate Moss and the stairs.” This can be seen in a YouTube video. Ben turned around and pumped his fist at his team. Then he turned to Johnny, who was sitting next to him and said something to him.
Amber said in 2020 that she had heard from two people that Johnny had pushed Kate down a staircase when they were dating in the 1990s. This happened during Johnny’s trial against The Sun for calling him a “wife-beater.” He lost the case.
In a previous trial, Johnny’s lawyers said that this story was completely made up. Now that Amber has brought it up in court, Johnny’s lawyers will be able to use it against her credibility.
In 2011, Johnny and Amber met on the set of The Rum Diary. They got married in 2015, but they split up after less than two years. Johnny sued Amber Heard for libel after she wrote an article in The Washington Post in December 2018 about being a survivor of domestic abuse.
The article didn’t say Johnny’s name, but it did say that a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie in which he plays Captain Jack Sparrow had to be put on hold. For more updates do follow us on leedaily.com
