A part of the recording was released to keep the world and we can hear Vicky getting paranoid. However, Vicky has killed herself after failing to escape.

How Did The Alabama Corrections Officer Die?

Vicky and the felon were on the run for a week. She was 56-years old at the time of her death. On Sunday, a tip was sent to the officers after locating Vicky and Casey. The car chase incident created panic amongst the runaway criminals and finally, when the chase ended, Vicky shot herself dead. Vicky did have many charges and if she was caught, she would have to spend a lot of time behind the bars.

After that, she chose to shoot in her head with a gun. She was taken to hospital. The ex-officer died at Deaconess Hospital as confirmed by Vanderburgh County Coroner Steve Lockyear.

As per Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding, it was both the sheriff’s deputies and U.S. marshals who “intercepted” the Whites, and that had led to a brief chase on U.S. 41. The marshals stopped the car of the Whites on Baumgart Road.

When Vicky realized that she has nowhere to escape and shot herself. However, Casey White was just a bit injured and both the Whites were rushed to the hospital.

Casey was taken to the Vanderburgh County jail before 2 a.m. and he was accused of “other agency charges.” Besides, Casey didn’t have any other local case on him.

Reports suggest that no officials of law enforcement got hurt during the process.

Officer Singleton commented, “This escape was obviously well planned and calculated,” “A lot of preparation went into this. They had plenty of resources, had cash, had vehicles, had everything they needed to pull this off, and that’s what made this last week and a half so challenging. We were starting from ground zero, and not only that, we started — they got a six-hour head start on us.”

What Was Casey Charged With?

Casey was sentenced to prison after he was accused of murdering a 59-year-old Alabama mother named Connie Ridgeway back in 2015. The Sunday chase started after their vehicle was spotted in Evansville. The investigators did find an abandoned vehicle that the Whites previously used.

They were last seen on a 2006 Ford F-150 card at Weinbach Car Wash. The camera footage was given to the investigators that had led to this whole chase.

Officer Wedding said, “It wasn’t within no time at all that the people in the vehicle fled north on Highway 41,” “From there to here it’s probably only three minutes, so it was a very short pursuit.”

More updates are going to be seen as the officials release more footage and details about it.
