In the midst of Johnny Depp’s current defamation suit against ex-wife Amber Heard, Jason Momoa appeared to have followed the actor Johnny Depp on Instagram.
Momoa plays Aquaman in the DC Universe with Heard, who portrays Mera. In the upcoming sequel, which is set for release in March 2023, the two actors will return to their roles.
Momoa started following Depp on Instagram as soon as the trial began in Fairfax County, Virginia — which is where the trial is taking place. Depp is suing Heard for $50 million (£38.2 million). He claims that in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed about domestic violence, Heard intimated that he abused her.

Both Heard and Depp are now following the Game of Thrones star on the platform. Momoa, according to the report, had been keeping tabs on Heard even before the trial began. Fans have speculated that Momoa’s close proximity to Depp is a sign that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor may be siding with Depp in his legal dispute with Aquaman co-star Jason Momoa.
Depp’s PR crew could be to blame for Momoa following Depp. Considering that he had already followed Heard on Instagram, his current actions may have been an effort to show that he is impartial.
Inquiries have been made to Momoa’s representative by The Independent
After the trial, a petition to remove Heard from the Aquaman sequel has gained renewed support. More than two million people have signed the petition.
The actor’s bodyguards testified about Depp’s relationship with Heard in court on Thursday (28 April) in Fairfax County, Virginia. The conditions of Depp’s divorce were also laid out in detail by his business manager, who also testified.
