Nick Cave’s Son Jethro Lazenby Has Died, Aged 31 (Latest News)

Jethro Lazenby, who went by the stage name Jethro Cave, has died. He had reached the age of thirty-one.

His father, musician Nick Cave, broke the news. There was no mention of a cause of death. He is Cave’s second young son to have died.

“With much sadness, I can confirm that my son, Jethro, has passed away,” the Bad Seeds frontman said in a statement obtained by the BBC. “We would be grateful for family privacy at this time.”

Model Beau Lazenby’s son Lazenby was the musician’s eldest child, and he didn’t learn his father’s identity until he was eight years old.

Modeling work for Balenciaga and Versace led to two film roles for him as an adolescent, as did appearances in the 2011 film My Little Princess, which featured Isabelle Huppert.

According to the BBC, Lazenby was imprisoned in 2018 “for a number of violent attacks on his then-girlfriend.”

In March, he was convicted guilty of criminal assault after physically assaulting his mother. He had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, according to his legal representative.

As a condition of his release, he had to attend drug counseling at the Melbourne Remand Centre. For the next two years, Lazenby was forbidden from seeing his mother. He died in a mysterious manner.

Arthur Cave, Cave’s 15-year-old son, died in 2015 after falling 60 feet from a cliff. The kid was found to have been high on LSD at the time of the incident. One More Time With Feeling, Andrew Dominic’s 2016 documentary on the singer, included footage of the artist’s death and its aftermath.

When Arthur died, Cave penned an open letter to a fan who had also lost a loved one.

“It seems to me, that if we love, we grieve. That’s the deal. That’s the pact. Grief and love are forever intertwined. Grief is the terrible reminder of the depths of our love and, like love, grief is non-negotiable.”

Cave went on to add that he regularly felt the presence of Arthur. His advice to her was to accept the experiences she was having, regardless of whether or not they were real.

The musician writes, “Create your spirits.” “Call to them. Will them alive. Speak to them. It is their impossible and ghostly hands that draw us back to the world from which we were jettisoned; better now and unimaginably changed.”
