Microsoft Plans to Release an Xbox Streaming Stick by 2023

For Microsoft, it is all about making Xbox accessible for everyone, rather than making everyone come to it. When it comes to accessing and playing Xbox on any device, Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming platform is a prime example.

Microsoft added Fortnite to its cloud gaming platform earlier this month, allowing anybody to stream the game on any device, at any time, and at no cost. A streaming device will be released by Microsoft next year in order to increase its reach.

“People familiar with the development” claim that Microsoft is working on an Xbox Cloud Gaming streaming device, which is likely to be a streaming stick, and is scheduled to be released within the next year.

A similar design to Amazon’s Fire TV stick is expected, which would allow customers to stream games from the Game Pass library in addition to traditional movies and TV shows. Due to current conflicts in Ukraine and a shutdown in China, supply may be limited at first.

Microsoft and Samsung are working together to provide the Xbox Cloud Gaming service on Samsung televisions in addition to a specialized streaming device. In order to stream games directly to Samsung TVs, Microsoft is creating an Xbox Cloud Gaming software for the company’s TV set.
