The ongoing sensational case has kept everyone on tenterhooks and divided the internet into two groups waiting eagerly for the judgment. Some of the revelations from this case have indeed been quite shocking to the fans of either party.
The star from the famed Pirates of the Caribbean franchise aged 58 has filed a defamation suit against Amber Heard, 36 for damages worth $50 million. Heard had indirectly accused Depp of domestic violence when they were in a relationship in an op-ed she wrote for “The Washington Post” albeit without naming him.

Depp’s lawyers claim that the accusations were obvious which led to the suit being filed. Heard’s lawyers are countersuing Depp on grounds of libel for $100 million.
The high-profile case has unloaded its own set of drama during the proceedings in court. It has also brought in a set of rumors the most recent of which is that Amber Heard’s lead lawyer Benjamin Rottenborn has quit the case.
Did Amber Heard’s Lawyers Quit?
The rumors began after the famed actress had claimed that she used Milani’s All In One Correcting Kit in 2016 to hide the alleged bruises from Depp’s domestic violence.
The case in point, as pointed out by Milani is that the said product had not been launched till 2017 and thus Heard’s claims to have used the product between 2012 and 2016, when she was in a relationship with Depp have to be untrue.
However, despite all this, all that can be said with certainty is that the claims of Heard’s lawyer quitting are nothing but rumors!

A video had also surfaced but closer inspection revealed that it was just part of that day’s proceedings. Amber Heard had taken to the stands for the first time this week to testify. There hasn’t been any official declaration regarding any lawyer quitting the case since then and thus such publicized rumors could only be regarded as clickbait.
The Proceedings So Far
The high-profile case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard started last month and is supposed to last for an estimated 5 weeks. After three weeks this is the first time Amber Heard has gone on the stand.
The coming Monday the 16th 2022 will see the 15th day of the trial between the two celebrities. As the trial nears its ends there have been lots of sensational revelations. Amber Heard had claimed that the first instance of domestic abuse had happened in 2012 when a drunk Depp, high on cocaine, had slapped her.
On the other hand, Depp had claimed that he has been a subject of domestic abuse and there was a time when Heard had openly defecated on his side of the bed. Though allegations of domestic abuse have arisen from both sides against each other, either side has refuted the said allegations.

The courtroom in Fairfax, Virginia has a limited audience comprising 7 members of the jury, Judge Penney Azcarate, Johnny Depp, and Amber Heard and their team of lawyers.
The courtroom proceedings are, however, broadcast online and you can easily follow them. The proceedings could be found on the website of Law and Order and Court TV. You will also find the live proceedings on their YouTube channel.
The case is being heard in court between Monday and Thursday, Fridays are off. The case was put on hold between the 9th and 12th of May when the Judge had some prior engagements.
