Stimulus Checks for Low-income Families: Biden Administration Relaunches Child Tax Credit Efforts

The improved child tax credit is now available to low-income families for the second time, and they don’t even have to file taxes to get it.

By reaching out to low-income families, the Biden administration is resuming its work on the Child Tax Credit, CNN reports.

As a result, the school’s leadership is directing parents to a web page. Entering their details there, customers can claim their credit. Online information is available at ChildTaxCredit.gov and GetCTC.org, both of which debuted on Wednesday.

It is possible for families to get $3,600 for each child under the age of 6. Families will receive $3,000 for each child that is at least 6 years old but not yet 17 years old.

From July through December 2021, households received monthly payments of $300 or $250 in the form of a child tax credit. When parents submitted their 2021 repairs, they should have claimed the remaining $3,600 and $3,000 payments.

  1. Congress needs to come together and renew or restart the Child Tax Credit. Our families need a bit of help. I understand these are not your children but God helps and saves people everyday. He provides for the Cingress . Why can’t you all help us help our children? Thank you for what you have already done tho. And yes the money is being used for food, washing clothing especially buying clothes and paying the light bill. So our kids won’t be in the dark.

Why are these stimulus aimed only at families with young children? There are so many of us, whose children are already grown or some may not even have children. These people are no less important than their neighbors with children
