Amber Heard Issues Statement Before Being Cross-Examined

It’s known by now that the trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is watched by the entire world now. Amber Heard issues a statement before being cross-examined. She spoke out on Monday morning before getting ready to confront the lawyers of her ex-husband, Jonny Depp. But she gave a statement before proceeding with the case further.

What Did The Statement Say?

Though it is quite the moment in the trial procedure, a spokesperson of the Aquaman actress issued a statement on behalf of her that read, “There’s an old saying by trial lawyers: When the facts are on your side, argue the facts; when the facts are not on your side, pound away on the podium. Today, we expect Depp’s attorneys will instead pound away on the victim.”

“We fear it will be equal parts shameful and desperate,” “And, the overwhelming evidence — the truth — is not on Depp’s side. The one thing we suspect Depp’s attorneys will avoid is the central issue of this trial: Does Amber or any woman have the First Amendment Right of Freedom of Speech.”

In this statement, she mentioned clearly that she suspects Depp’s lawyers will try to shun her truth even after having all the facts of his violence and misbehavior. However, to date, the case has seen how Amber has contradicted herself on multiple occasions. Besides, she was also accused of making false claims even after she was violent to Depp.

In this confrontation, Depp’s lawyer is looking forward to bringing out more truths in this case.

The defamation trial started after Johnny and Amber got divorced in 2017. Amber portrayed herself as a survivor of marital abuse and domestic violence.

The 2018 op-ed of The Washington Post has highlighted the story against the 58-years-old actor, Johnny Depp. Well, she didn’t mention Depp’s name in the article but it was clear that Amber was talking about her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

Thus, Depp decided to stand for what’s right and went on to file a $50 million lawsuit in the year 2019. Then Amber went on to counter file and she made a $100 million lawsuit against Depp. Originally, the trial was supposed to happen much before but it got delayed after the pandemic happened.

Currently, the trial is happening in Fairfax, Virginia. The courtroom did get a week-long break but this Monday, the case is getting resumed. On Monday, it was Heard’s third day where she chose to take a stand. She did testify against Depp and revealed information that was not known. So, with the cross-examination, more information will be on the way and viewers will get live updates.

Johnny Depp’s Spokesperson Released A Statement

In a statement issued by the spokesperson of Johnny Depp, it stated, “As Mr. Depp’s counsel correctly predicted in their opening statements last month,

Ms. Heard did indeed deliver ‘the performance of her life in her direct examination,” “While Ms. Heard’s stories have continued to grow new and convenient details, Mr. Depp’s recollections have remained exactly the same throughout the six painful years since her first allegations were made. His truth — the truth — is the same no matter the environment in which it is has been presented. The upcoming cross-examination from Mr.

Depp’s team will be most telling, and will certainly highlight the many fallacies Ms. Heard has now attempted to pass off as fact throughout her convoluted testimony.”

Amber’s team didn’t hold back and her spokesperson talked about Depp’s “panicked” team of attorneys. The spokesperson claimed that his “defamation claim is falling apart so rapidly”. Depp was also accused of attacking the victim, Amber Heard, and not taking responsibility for his actions. The latter statement also mentioned that Depp didn’t even have the courage to look or even make eye contact with Ms. Amber Heard.

The case is intensifying every passing day. However, with this trial, Depp’s ultimate goal is to get his name cleared as an abuser because he has never hit any woman, not even Amber Heard.
