In October 2021, José Ignacio Valenzuela, the show’s creator, signed a three-year contract with Netflix, even though the show has ended. Because there won’t be any more Who Killed Sara? we could obtain something that’s as addictive.

“I am beyond thrilled to join the Netflix family. Working with them over the next three years, I am committed to telling stories that will continue to excite fans in Latin America and across the world just like Who Killed Sara? did,” he said.

Alejandro Nones, who played Rodolfo Lazcano in the second season, told Showbiz Cheat Sheet that he was shocked by the show’s success, with 55 million or more homes streaming the second season within the first month of airing.

Who Killed Sara Could Have a Spin-off

“I was not expecting anything like this,” said Nones. “Of course, during shooting, I thought: ‘I’m doing something special. I’m doing something very important for my career. Yeah, we’re doing something amazing.’ But not to the world,” he added.

Keeping things short and sweet was probably for the best because a plot-driven program with so minimal narrative growth would have continued in that manner. No need to draw blood from that stone.

Who Killed Sara Could Have a Spin-off?

Who Killed Sara? wonderful job keeping the murder mystery alive, but another whodunnit would be too much. This does not rule out the possibility of a spin-off, and there may even be a prelude to one in the final season.

While Sara was being imprisoned against her will by The Medusa Project, we learned that she had a secret daughter named Lucia.

Even though Lucia spent most of her childhood at the Medusa facility, the experiences she had there are still mostly untapped. Without rehashing previous ground, she’d make for the most reasonable and interesting choice for a sequel.

There hasn’t been any official word from the show’s creators about a possible spin-off yet, but be sure to check back on leedaily.com for more information. Who Killed Sara? is available to stream on Netflix.
