Return of the Cuddly Robot in the Baymax Series Trailer

Disney+ has scheduled a late June premiere date for the Big Hero 6 spinoff Baymax series.

Big Hero 6’s Baymax the cuddly nurse robot is returning in the new series Baymax! to heal humans. For the first time, Walt Disney Animation Studios has published a trailer for its first animated series, Baymax!, which acts as a spinoff to Big Hero 6 from 2014. June 29 on Disney+ will see the continuation of Baymaxvoyage !’s as he attempts to treat patients in San Fransokyo, a fictional city in Japan.

According To The Official Synopsis For Baymax Series Reads

“The all-new series of healthcare capers returns to the fantastical city of San Fransokyo where the affable, inflatable, inimitable healthcare companion robot, Baymax, sets out to do what he was programmed to do: help others.”

Ryan Potter and Maya Rudolph return their roles as Hiro Hamada and Aunt Cass in the new season, with Scott Adsit resuming his role as Baymax. Baymax! will also star Emily Kuroda, Lilimar, Zeno Robinson, and Jaboukie Young-White.

Episode-by-episode storytelling will be the norm for Baymax!, which will feature a huggable nurse striving to treat a different patient each time. This does not, however, imply that the show will lack entertainment value. We can see from the teaser that Baymax’s insistence on delivering medical care to those in need, even if they don’t want it, will result in a lot of trouble.

Don Hall, who co-directed Big Hero 6 with Chris Williams, will act as the creator of Baymax!. Hall made a remark on the series, saying:

“I thought it would be fun to do a Disney+ series with Baymax interacting with normal folks. In each of our six episodes, Baymax just wants to help someone—and a lot of times they don’t want to be helped. He sets out to fix a physical issue that he’s identified, and in the process, gets to a deeper, more emotional place and can be almost transformative in that role.”
