Jeff Beck Announcement About Releasing The Album With Johnny Depp
Depp has always been an influential person but he is famously known for being an actor. However, little did anyone know that Johnny Depp moved to Los Angeles in the early days to become a musician. So, even after becoming a very successful Hollywood star, he never gave up on his musical journey.
When Jeff Beck announced launching music with Depp, many fans were shocked cause mostly everyone knows him from his films.
After the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard defamation trial’s verdict was out on 1st June, Jeff didn’t miss any chance. Jeff Beck announced his upcoming album with the superstar Depp on 2nd June, a day after the lawsuit ended. With this project, Depp will be returning back to his work. This is indeed going to be Johnny Depp’s first major project after his high-publicized lawsuit against his ex-wife.
Jeff Beck announced the happy news during his concert held in the English city of Gateshead. Depp was present at the moment when Jeff Beck announced their collaboration.
Depp bowed in front of the crowd to show gratitude when his friend was announced. Jeff added, “I met this guy five years ago and we’ve never stopped laughing since. We actually made an album. I don’t know how it happened. It will be out in July.”

Much before Jeff Beck announced their latest project, Depp first publicly declared about the album through his Instagram post in April 2020. Johnny praised Beck as, “my dear friend and my brother … one of my all-time guitar heroes”.
The duo even released one track when making the primary announcement. The track was the rendition of legend John Lenon’s Isolation. They made an early release of the song as the duo considered the Covid-19 pandemic to be the perfect time when the audiences can relate to this song. Depp commented on the song’s release, “Lennon’s prophetic words are pure poetry; the profundity of his lyrics seemed to Jeff and me especially fitting for what’s happening right now,”
And when Jeff Beck announced the release of the song, she wrote, “Johnny and I have been working on music together for a while now and we recorded this track during our time in the studio last year,” “We weren’t expecting to release it so soon but given all the hard days and true ‘isolation’ that people are going through in these challenging times, we decided now might be the right time to let you all hear it.”
So, soon after Jeff Beck announced the album, fans were excited. The album will drop next month but the date is still not decided.
