There’s good news and bad news for Transformers 7: Rise of the Beasts. Get the bad news out of the way before we get to the good news. For the first time in a long time, a live-action Transformers movie has a good buzz around it.
At CinemaCon 2022, Optimus Prime was seen in action in the movie’s footage. According to a report, he looks like a mix of Michael Bay and G1 designs. While driving six Porsches around him, Anthony Ramos was filmed reacting to the chaos and driving.

Who is in the Cast of Transformers 7?
Noah, a former military electronics expert who lives in Brooklyn with his family, will be played by Anthony Ramos, who made a splash in In the Heights last month.
This time around, the Maximals’ leader will be voiced by Ron Perlman, reprising his role as Optimus Primal from Transformers: Power of the Primes. The voice of Autobot leader Optimus Prime, played by Peter Cullen, is also back.
The full cast includes:
- Anthony Ramos as Noah, the heroic lead human character from Brooklyn, an expert in electronics
- Dominique Fishback as Elena, an artifact researcher whose boss continues to take credit for her discoveries
- Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, the leader of the Maximals that can transform into a gorilla
- Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots
- Lauren Vélez as Noah’s mother
Fishback and Ramos have been friends since their college days. Fishback shared the news on Instagram that they would be co-starring in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
There is currently no word on whether Hailee Steinfeld, who portrayed Charlie Watson in Bumblebee, will be returning for Rise of the Beasts.
What About the Plot of the Movie?
During a virtual presentation for Paramount, Rise of the Beasts director Caple revealed some story details. Predacons, Maximals, and Terrorcons will join the Transformers universe in this new film, which will take place in New York and Machu Picchu. Time-traveling prehistoric robot Maximals and Predacons are featured in the game.
“In their disguise, they take on animal form,” Caple said during the presentation. “So in our film, they’re these prehistoric animals that travel through time and space, and we find them here on Earth.”
Production designer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said, “One of the most important things we were trying to do with this movie is give the audience a lot of new.” “Our hope was, ‘how do we find a new set of villains?’ and ‘how do we find a new set of priorities for these villains?’ If you’ve seen and been a fan of the other movies, you’re going to see villains you’ve never seen before, you’re going to see Autobots you’ve never seen before. It’s one of the driving decisions we’re making. Fortunately for us, Transformers has a lot of tribes so there’s a really large base of characters. This movie is bringing a lot of those tribes together.”
Both Ramos and Fishback’s characters, Noah (a former military electronics expert) and Elena (an artifact researcher) become embroiled in a conflict between the various Beast Tribes.
The two actors discussed their personas in the following way: According to Ramos “[Noah is] all about taking care of the people he loves … [He comes] from a lower-income home, so Noah’s always hustling.”
Ramos also said that Noah is “amazing with electronics” and that “the one thing I love about Noah is his tenacity and his heart, and his will to never quit, even though life is throwing crazy things at him.” Then, it’s amazing to see his journey when we venture out into the world when the humans meet bots and things start to happen.”
Fishback said, “I’m playing an intelligent artifact researcher who works at a museum. She’s trying to get a leg up in life but her boss keeps taking credit for the work she’s done, so she’s trying to [move out] on her own.” For more such updates do follow us only on leedaily.com
