Authorities in Napa County have released Paul Pelosi’s mugshot, which was taken after he was arrested on May 28 for allegedly driving under the influence.
The driver of a 2014 Jeep hit Mr. Pelosi’s 2021 Porsche at an intersection at 11:45 pm. Mr. Pelosi is married to Nancy Pelosi, who is the Speaker of the House. No one was hurt, and the driver of the Jeep was not taken into custody by the police. A few hours later, early in the morning of May 29, the photo was taken.

That morning, Mr. Pelosi was bailed out for $5,000. At the time of the incident, Ms. Pelosi was not in California. Instead, she was in Rhode Island getting ready to give a commencement speech at Brown University. Her office has chosen not to say anything about it.

Mr. Pelosi is from San Francisco. He owns a real estate and venture capital company and is said to be worth more than $100 million. Mr. Pelosi met his wife, Ms. Pelosi when they were both in college in Washington, DC. He went to Georgetown University and she went to Trinity College. They have five kids together.
In addition to his work with Financial Leasing Services, Mr. Pelosi owned most of the United Football League football team the Sacramento Mountain Lions. The league went out of business in 2012, not long after Pelosi’s team moved from San Francisco to Sacramento.
Mr. Pelosi is now facing two charges: driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.8% or higher. Both are small crimes.
