Trump, who left office in January of 2021, responded to a House committee’s report on the Capitol incident with a 12-page reply, accusing Democrats of trying to distract attention from domestic problems.
“Seventeen months after the events of January 6th, Democrats are unable to offer solutions,” Trump said during a statement released through his Save America PAC. “They are desperate to change the narrative of a failing nation, without even making mention of the havoc and death caused by the Radical Left just months earlier. Make no mistake, they control the government. They own this disaster. They are hoping that these hearings will somehow alter their failing prospects.”
In a 12-page paper, the committee’s work might play a significant role in a possible 2024 presidential campaign, notwithstanding Trump’s baseless charges of election fraud.

There have already been two hearings held by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection as it builds a case to show that Trump was repeatedly informed by aides that the election was not stolen but continued to claim publicly that it was for months, misleading his supporters up until the insurrection at the Capitol.
Several of Trump’s disproven statements about the 2020 election are repeated in the 12-page memo, including those that were brought up during testimony by former Trump campaign and administration staffers.
In support of his assertions, Trump cites the Dinesh D’Souza video “2000 Mules,” which examines allegations of ballot trafficking. When the DVD was mentioned in evidence earlier today, former Attorney General William Barr laughed and dismissed the idea that it was proof of widespread fraud.
Another piece claims that Joe Biden could not have won Pennsylvania, Arizona, or Georgia since he received more Black and Hispanic votes than former President Obama. No indication of massive fraud has been found in any of those states’ audits and recounts. Stay tuned with us only on leedaily.com
