Amber Heard is once again rumored to be leaving Aquaman 2 and Mera would be recast, but it’s also said that the actress still has a modest role in the movie. According to Just Jared, a site that posts paparazzi photos, Townsquare Media, Inc. controls the third-largest AM–FM operator in the United States, which owns the Just Jared site.
The site says a source has told them that, “Warner Bros. decided to recast Amber Heard in the role after testing the movie. They are going to be doing reshoots with Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman.” Aquaman 2 and any future DC films are to feature new Mera, according to a source.
Although a recent Aquaman 2 test screening reportedly showed more of Amber Heard’s Mera than previously reported, a new source close to production tells Just Jared that Amber Heard is still in the movie and that she hasn’t been fully cut and still has a small role, but the site still maintains to their other source who claims Amber Heard as Mera will be recast in Aquaman 2 and that ultimately they would update their audience.

Aquaman 2: Is Amber Heard in or Out?
Aquaman 2 was recently tested, and Amber Heard appeared in 25 minutes of the film, far more than the previously reported 10 minutes or so, along with Michael Keaton as Batman.
Evidence presented during the trial also showed that in the sequel, Amber Heard’s Mera was originally intended to have a major romantic arc with Jason Momoa and to be featured in a major battle at the film’s conclusion; however, it appears that Amber Heard’s role in the sequel was reduced because it was said she didn’t have any chemistry with Momoa in the first film.
Also revealed in the trial is that Amber Heard’s Mera only appears in the first half of Aquaman 2 with a hospital scene and an infant, but that Mera reappears at the end of the film to help wrap things up. Amber Heard’s Mera returns at the end of Aquaman 2.
#Aquaman2 could you explain why it took only 3 DAYS to announce you had cut ties with JD after his (sham) UK loss, but over a week after #AmberTurd was proven to be HIS abuser, she’s still in Aquaman? As I said before, Warner Bros. could decide to keep Amber Heard in Aquaman 2 or get rid of her depending on how long the hype train lasts. Now that Michael Keaton is rumored to be in Aquaman 2, they may have even more time to decide, because if Michael Keaton plays Batman in Aquaman 2, The Flash movie needs to come out first, so Aquaman 2 may switch The Flash’s June 23, 2023 release date.
