It has been a long year for Johnny Depp and Amber Heard and the world has seen enough of the courtroom drama. But the recent revelation made by Amber Heard is not about her legal battle or her loss but something unexpected. Amber Heard became vulnerable during an interview and confessed that she “still loves” her ex-husband despite losing the defamation trial.
The $50 million defamation trial went in Depp’s favor. Amber previously claimed about getting physically assaulted by Depp. She accused him of being abusive but the jurors found some of the stories being made up. In the 2018 Washington op-ed of Amber Heard, she stated certain details that portrayed her as the survivor of domestic abuse.
The op-ed was published soon after Depp and Amber Heard got divorced. Though the name of Depp wasn’t mentioned anywhere it was clear that Amber was hinting about her ex-husband Johnny Depp in that op-ed. This led to Johnny suing Amber Heard for $50 million and after she lost the case in June 2022, the Aquaman actress owes him over $10 million.
