Disney reportedly offered $301 million to feature in a new “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie and in addition to that, the franchise will also be planning to make a Disney Plus exclusive series. Talks about Johnny Depp Disney deal became the topic of discussion. However, there is no evidence or confirmation from anyone regarding the deal between Depp and Disney.
To quote the beginning of the now-famous article of the Australian site that reported Johnny Depp’s Disney deal, it stated, “Disney has allegedly offered Johnny Depp a USD $301 million contract deal for him to return as Jack Sparrow in another ‘Pirates’ film and a Disney Plus series!”
The site claimed that a “trusted source close to Disney” had revealed this information about Johnny Depp’s Disney deal. But sadly, it turns out that the news regarding this hoax has no legitimacy.

The Conversation About Disney Paying “$300 Million Dollars” To Depp Happened: But The Context Was Different
During the ongoing trial, Depp got emotional while declaring about not returning to his beloved, “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise again. It was one of the films that got snatched away from him in the aftermath of his high-profile divorce. So, in April 2022, while the trial was happening in Fairfax Virginia, Heard’s lawyer, J. Benjamin Rottenborn questioned the future of Johnny Depp’s Disney deal and if there is any possibility to return back to the Disney franchise. He asked, “And the fact is, Mr. Depp if Disney came to you with $300 million dollars and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film, correct?”
To which Depp clearly answered, “That is true, Mr. Rottenborn.”

To clarify further if Disney would ever take back Depp for his famous “Pirates of the Caribbean” role, another attorney of Heard, Elaine Bredehoft presented a pre-recorded deposition of Tina Newman from Walt Disney Studios.
In this deposition, Elaine questioned, “Would Disney entertain paying Mr. Depp more than $300 million and provide him with more than a million alpacas to be able to obtain his services for any future ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ role?”
And the answer to Newman was a clear “No”.
So, there are no more doubts left as it has already been confirmed previously by both the parties that Johnny Depp Disney deal was just a part of courtroom conversation. Initially, Depp was supposed to get $22.5 million for his “Pirates of the Caribbean 6” role but that finally didn’t happen. Thus, you will not get any new information about Johnny Depp’s Disney deal.
