You don’t have long to wait until the Doctor Strange 2 Disney Plus release date, so stop messing with the multiverse and go get some popcorn. Yes, after a normal-length (but short for Marvel movies) time when it could only be seen in theatres, the latest MCU movie will finally be available to buy or rent.
Release date and time: Originally released on May 6, 2022, Doctor Strange 2 hits Disney Plus(opens in new tab) at 3 a.m. ET on Wednesday, June 22.
Cast: Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Rachel McAdams
Rating: PG-13
Running time: 2:06
In Disney Plus Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, the title character, a magician, learns that there is no rest for the tired. Stephen Strange just saved the world in “Avengers: Endgame” and the multiverse in “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” Now, he has to deal with a situation that involves jumping from universe to universe, which is not his usual job.
Wong (Benedict Wong), who is the real Sorcerer Supreme, is here to help, of course. A new hero, America Chavez, also helps the two (Xochitl Gomez). And it’s not a big surprise that Strange’s feelings for Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) are too complicated for his heart and mind to handle.

Still, it’s all just another day at work. And seeing America Chavez for the first time makes us wonder if she will have a bigger part in the next Marvel movie. And even though the Loki series and the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania show that multiverse language is still around, no one knows how it will all work. Thor: Love and Thunder, on the other hand, seems to put an end to all uses of the word “multiverse.”

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness Trailers
In the new trailer for Doctor Strange 2, Stephen Strange and Wanda Maximoff are both struggling with dreams that seem too real to be dreams.
We talked about the full Disney Plus Doctor Strange 2 trailer in our live blog about the Super Bowl ads. It came out in January. It has a lot of confusion, a restless Stephen Strange (who may have been arrested), a vengeful Wanda Maximoff, and a voice that sounds like Patrick Stewart.
In December, after the credits of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel showed the first trailer for Doctor Strange 2. Which made perfect sense, since Strange’s spell to make everyone forget Peter Parker is Spider-Man goes wrong and sets off the multiverse.
Stephen goes to an old friend, Wanda Maximoff, to ask her to fix what he broke.
Also, we have information about the Disney Plus Doctor Strange 2 post-credit scenes in both versions that don’t give anything away and ones that do.
