Michael Jackson’s Heartbreaking Last Words to His Ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley “Cried All Day”

On June 25, 2009, Michael Jackson passed away. Even those who weren’t close to him were affected by the abrupt and unexpected demise of the star. Presley was one of those folks. In spite of their brief marital union (which lasted from May 26 to August 20 of the following year), the bond of affection and devotion between them was undeniable.

In the wake of Michael’s passing, Lisa Marie reflected on their final “coherent” conversation. After Michael Jackson’s death in 2009, Oprah Winfrey interviewed Lisa Marie Presley, who is the daughter of Elvis Presley, in 2010. She talked openly about the status of their relationship following their divorce.

Lisa Marie Keough, who already had two children with her ex-husband Danny Keough, ended their relationship because she no longer wanted any more children. When it came to having a family, Michael was eager to start a family right away. Despite their acrimonious split, the two remained close. After a tense exchange with him in 2005, Lisa Marie recalls speaking to him “properly.”

Lisa Marie remembered: “I was so removed from him and he could feel it and hear it. I was very distant … He was asking me, he wanted to tell me that I was right about a lot of people around him.” Michael then asked Lisa Marie one of the most difficult questions she’d ever had to deal with. He inquired as to her thoughts about him.

“He asked if I still loved him,” she solemnly revealed. But she couldn’t lie to the star. She said: “I told him I was indifferent and he didn’t like that word.” Michael then revealed how he was worried about his life. And worried about his legacy. Lisa Marie said that Michael said “someone was going to try to kill him” to end the conversation. And he figured they’d “get a hold of his catalog and estate” if he did this.

In response, she said, “I didn’t know what to do with that.” On the day Michael died, Lisa Marie remembered the last time she spoke to her ex-husband. It was a really strange day for her, given the fact that she was already in a state of emotional distress. “I don’t know why,” she said. “But it was the strangest day of my life.”

Lisa Marie admitted: “I was crying all day. And I don’t normally do that.” She went on to say that she was finding it difficult to complete “simple tasks” due to the overwhelming amount of emotion she was experiencing. She continued: “I was trying to work, I came home, I was literally cutting my food, eating my dinner crying.” Eventually, she heard the news.

When her friend and fellow Scientologist John Travolta texted her to tell her that Michael had died, she was shocked. When she found out what had happened, she felt “real, honest-to-goodness shock.” She said: “Not even tears … I was floored, honestly floored.” Lisa Marie tried to remember Michael in a good way, even though he died tragically and too soon.

Lisa Marie has wonderful memories of her deceased ex-husband. She said: “He tried so hard and went through so much with me. He’s never done that with any other female or anyone, as much as we went through.”

“When we were together were really in love and had the rough patches and then I had to make the decision to walk. Because I saw the drugs and doctors were coming in and they scared me and that put me back into what I went through with my father and that ended it.” Stay tuned with us only on Lee Daily
