Apple did not provide us with a specific launch date for the new MacBook Air with the M2 chip when it debuted the device at WWDC in June, all they said was that it would be available in July. Now, MacRumors is reporting that it has confirmed the release date of the new  M2 MacBook Air with a retail source and that the release date will be July 15, with pre-orders beginning a week earlier, on July 8.

This is reassuring in light of the earlier speculation that the release of the new MacBook Air could be delayed as a result of COVID-related production shutdowns in China.

Even if the launch date shown above is accurate, there is still a possibility that the new laptop will be difficult to obtain, resulting in delivery dates that are pushed back further and further into the future. However, following the launch, we will have more information regarding this matter.
