The Gilded Age Season 2 Cast

There are a few notable newcomers, though, such as Christine Baranski and Cynthia Nixon returning as well as Carrie Coon and Morgan Spector returning as well as Harry Richardson and Denée Benton returning as well as Jack Gilpin.

Tom Raikes, Marian’s romantic interest, was portrayed by Thomas Cocquerel, who will not be returning to the show. Until a second season was confirmed, Baranski, who portrays the show’s grand dame Agnes van Rhijn, expressed an interest in returning.

As she told T&C prior to the season two official statement: “I could certainly, gladly continue with this show and these performers, and with this particular amazing writer, Julian.” If the show does get extended, she could have to shoot The Gilded Age while simultaneously filming The Good Fight.

“COVID and everything else means that if The Gilded Age does begin again, it will be in the same vein. This is what you call a champagne issue, even if I am filming two episodes at once.” Nathan Lane, Ashlie Atkinson, Claybourne Elder and Ward Horton are all scheduled to reprise their roles as series regulars.
