WWE Raw Results, Recap, Grades: The Bloodline Dominates Riddle and The Street Profits

As of Monday night’s episode of Raw, Roman Reigns had not competed on the show for the first time since September of the year 2021. He had a successful comeback to the ring when he joined up with The Usos to win a six-man tag match against The Street Profits and Riddle. The match was won by The Usos.

Reigns also sent a message to Brock Lesnar before their Last Man Standing contest at SummerSlam, using Paul Heyman as a megaphone to declare that he would be using the match on Saturday to conclude their lengthy feud and make sure he stands alone in the record books by beating Lesnar on Reigns’ 699th day as world champion. The event will take place on Sunday.

The Bloodline Stands Tall Once Again

The Bloodline began the show with a promotional segment in the ring. After making a demand to be acknowledged, Reigns then stated that he did not wish to speak anymore and passed the microphone to Paul Heyman.

Heyman made a promo regarding Reigns’ encounter against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. In the promo, Heyman said that their names are linked together in the thoughts of fans, but that this will no longer be the case when Reigns defeats Lesnar at SummerSlam.

After that, Theory spoke up to declare that everyone was overlooking the single most essential aspect leading up to the competition, which was his intention to cash in the Money in the Bank contract on the victor.

The theory was told by Reigns that he needed to understand that his “daddy” (Vince McMahon) was no longer around and that he was now competing in Reigns’ ring. As The Bloodline departed the ring, Theory slapped Jey Uso with the Money in the Bank briefcase, but the only effect it had was for Reigns to chuckle and soothe Uso down.

The Street Profits and Riddle were defeated by The Bloodline via pinfall when Roman Reigns struck Riddle with a spear during the match. During the crazy tag bout, Montez Ford was busted open in the beginning.

After successfully avoiding an RKO, Reigns finished out his opponent with a spear to put an end to the contest. Following the conclusion of the bout, Seth Rollins made his way to the ring and assaulted Matt Riddle. Rollins landed a stomp on the floor after striking Riddle with the ring stairs, and he followed it up with another stomp after hanging Riddle over the steel steps.

It’s simple to get carried away when thinking about a single concert. It’s possible that the fact that this was the first episode of Raw with Paul “Triple H” Levesque in control of creative after Vince McMahon’s retirement led to the decision to do that.

From the opening promo and Theory’s participation leading up to a match with Drew McIntyre and the match developing into a tag match that ended due to Dolph Ziggler on the outside, there were throughlines throughout the night, segments that logically flowed and were related.

Then, AJ Styles formed a tag team with Dolph Ziggler out of respect for what Ziggler was doing to Theory, just before to everything came full circle and returned to The Bloodline in the main event.

It appeared as though the concert had been well thought out and not cobbled together at the eleventh hour. Even while it’s not flawless, the show has some interesting ideas that, if expanded upon, might take it to the next level. Grade: A-
