Up-and-coming rapper JayDaYoungan died after suffering gunshot wounds Wednesday night outside his home in Louisiana.
Bogalusa Police Department told The Post that the 24-year-old musician, known for his hits “23 Island” and “Elimination,” was shot along with his uncle, Kenyatta Scott Sr.
The rapper, whose real name is Javorius Tykies Scott, was shot just before 6 p.m., and he was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say that JayDaYoungan finally died just before midnight.
The relative of the rapper is still in stable condition.

“This situation changes a lot. Police said in a statement that their officers are working hard to find the people who did these crimes.
Police said that about 30 minutes after the rapper was shot, another person was shot. Officials said there was a chance that the shootings were related.
From what he wrote on social media, JayDaYoungan has a young son who will miss him.
A few hours before his untimely death, the rapper posted a video on Instagram of a boy who many people thought was his son.
In 2017, Atlantic Records signed the rapper to a record deal. His bio on Pandora says that “Spinning” and “Taking Off” helped him become well-known.
He worked with artists like Lil Durk, Lato, and Moneybagg Yo during his career. In June 2021, he put out his first album, “23 Is Back.” Both his mixtape “Forever 23″ and his first studio album, “Baby23,” were on the Billboard charts.
He had more than 1.2 million subscribers on YouTube and 2.7 million followers on Instagram, which is a lot.
The shooting happened just one month after he got out of jail after being charged with gun crimes.
In October 2021, he was caught with a gun he wasn’t allowed to have because he was being charged with assault in Texas and had Oxycodone without a prescription.
He was free at the time because he had paid a $175,000 bond after being arrested in September 2021 on suspicion of being a second-degree murder accomplice.
It’s still not clear if the rapper had anything to do with the shooting.
He got five years in prison for the gun charges, but he was let out last month because of the time he had already served.
