Boyd Holbrook Says Harrison Ford is ‘Ripping and Roaring’ in Indiana Jones 5

“Indiana Jones 5” star Boyd Holbrook admits he’s feeling “a little bit” apprehensive about audience reception to director James Mangold’s upcoming episode of the renowned action-adventure movie franchise.

Holbrook told Variety at the red carpet premiere of “Vengeance” on Monday at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, “It’s kind of like a childhood dream.” “And you could feel a little bit of that pressure, but I try not to go down those avenues. I basically just focus on the job at hand.”

Details concerning “Indiana Jones 5” have been kept under wraps. “We’ve got Jim Mangold directing the film, and the guy just can’t produce a bad movie,” Holbrook added. “He is extremely accurate in what he does.”

Mangold, famed director of films such as “Ford v Ferrari,” “Logan,” “Walk the Line” and “The Wolverine,” makes his Indy debut following Steven Spielberg’s direction of the first four movies. While Spielberg will be absent from the picture, 80-year-old Harrison Ford is once again scheduled to reprise the legendary role of Indiana Jones.

“Harrison Ford is ripping and roaring,” Holbrook stated. “Age ain’t nothing but a number to this man.”

Joining Ford and Holbrook in the current adventure are Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Toby Jones, and Antonio Banderas, among others. John Williams is also coming back to write the score. “Indiana Jones 5” is presently planned for a June 30, 2023 release date.

B.J. Novak’s directorial debut, “Vengeance,” has Holbrook as the lead actor. The movie, which was also written by the star of “The Office,” is about an aspiring podcaster, played by Novak, who goes from New York to Texas to find out what happened to a woman he slept with. Holbrook plays Ty Shaw in the movie.

Shaw is a native Texan who wants to find out what happened to his sister. ‘Vengeance’ will be in theaters on July 29th. Stay tuned with us only on  Lee Daily
