Alex Jones Sent Nude Photo of Wife to Roger Stone (Latest News)

Alex Jones Sent Nude Photo of Wife to Roger Stone: An attorney engaged in the case has admitted that lawyers for the infamous American conspiracy theorist Alex Jones unintentionally shared a nude photo of his wife with his legal opponents that he had texted to the right political operator Roger Stone.

The seemingly absurd, but entirely true, development was the latest repercussion after one of the lawyers for a family suing Jones for defamation revealed last week that Jones’s lawyer had accidentally given over numerous texts belonging to the far-right provocateur and then failed to take action to keep them out of court.

One of the texts in question contained a naked photo of Jones’ wife sent to Stone, a former adviser to former president Donald Trump, according to Mark Bankston, the lawyer who was the victim of the accidentally released information, who appeared on Monday on the Young Turks progressive news commentary program.

Bankston also questioned if Erika Wulff Jones, Jones’ wife, had given her husband permission to send that picture to Stone or anybody else. “I don’t know if that was consensual,” said Bankston, who recently obtained a judgment against Jones for close to $50 million on behalf of the family of a six-year-old boy killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting, which Jones had long claimed was a hoax intended to compel federal gun control reform.

And if it wasn’t consent, Mrs. Wulff Jones ought to be aware of it; perhaps something should be done about it. Bankston said that “it could be completely consensual.” He continued, “I don’t see any indication that it was [consensual],” even though several states make it illegal to disclose personal images without consent. I’m concerned that there might be a problem with that.

Later, Wulff Jones expressed her disappointment that Jones “used privilege to send the image to someone without my knowledge” and that she was “unaware that this occurred” in a statement to Insider. She told the outlet, “I’m sure this was some sort of boast exchange – look how hot my wife is a type of. However, that’s the least of my current problems.

Before Bankston’s comments on Monday, Jones had launched into an outburst about the leak on his right-wing conspiracy-theory online radio program Infowars, claiming that those suing him now had a nude photo of his wife. He did not go on to mention that he had sent it to Roger Stone, who Trump had pardoned after being accused by federal authorities looking into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Additionally, Bankston had earlier stated that among the texts that Jones’ attorney unintentionally shared were “intimate messages.” But Bankston didn’t go into detail about what those private texts included until after Jones’s tirade. On Tuesday, it was impossible to reach Jones, his lawyer, or Stone for comment.

Jones was recently ordered by a jury in his hometown of Austin, Texas, to pay the parents of Sandy Hook student Jesse Lewis, who was one of the 20 students and six staff members killed during the mass shooting at the elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, $49.3 million in compensatory and punitive damages.

Jones has committed to pursuing an appeal, which may significantly lower that award. Nevertheless, the verdict was a triumph for the Sandy Hook families, who claimed that the Infowars host’s fabrications of the slaughter led to harassment and threats from his fanatical supporters and prevented them from moving on. And it was a strong rebuke for Jones, whose media firm recently asked the federal government for bankruptcy protections even though he is facing two lawsuits of a similar nature from other Sandy Hook families.

One of the most notable moments in the trial that pitted Jones against Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis, the parents of Jesse Lewis, was the unintentional release of Jones’s texts by his legal team. The texts were significant because they disproved statements he made under oath that he had no information about the Sandy Hook murders on his iPhone. Jones’ team was informed of the unintentional leak by Bankston, but no action was taken to keep them out of court as privileged.

The congressional committee looking into the attack on the US Capitol on January 6 moved swiftly to request Bankston provide those communications to determine what kind of interactions Trump’s staff may have had with one of the former president’s most well-known supporters.

Jones took a deposition earlier on in the committee’s investigation, but he used his right under the law against self-incrimination at every turn. The majority of the texts, according to Bankston, date from the middle of 2020, a few months before the Capitol attack in early 2021.
