Anne Heche, whose family said in a statement that she is “not expected to survive” the vehicle tragedy in which she was involved, was an ex-girlfriend of Ellen DeGeneres’. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, Heche was rushed to the hospital after her car “erupted in heavy fire” after colliding with a two-story home in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles.
When were Ellen and Anne dating?
After DeGeneres announced her sexual orientation as a lesbian in 1997, Heche became her first high-profile girlfriend. Dating for a few years, DeGeneres and Heche split up in 2000. At a Vanity Fair party, Heche told the Tampa Bay Times in 1998. This was a chemical reaction that defies explanation.

Heche got in a terrible vehicle accident on August 5th, which has put her in a coma. A family statement says that Heche “is not expected to survive” the accident. The actress has been diagnosed with “severe anoxic brain injury” and is currently in a critical coma state.
After the crash in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, the 53-year-old was taken to the hospital. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) recently acknowledged to the PA news agency that they were treating the crash as a criminal DUI investigation.

A few hours later, her family sent a statement to PA saying that they were keeping Heche on life support for the time being. In a statement, Anne’s family expressed gratitude to all who had prayed for her recovery and to the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital for their treatment of Anne.
Unfortunately, Anne Heche had a severe anoxic brain injury in the accident and is still in a coma in critical condition. According to the report, her prognosis is very poor. On November 6, 2021, in Del Mar, California, Anne Heche is among the VIP guests for the Breeders’ Cup at Del Mar Race Track.

“She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and dearly missed for her light.” US media source TMZ received photos and video of the aftermath of the collision, showing Heche driving a blue Mini Cooper that was later seen badly damaged at the scene.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the vehicle crashed into a two-story house and “erupted in heavy fire”. According to the LAFD report, it took over 50 firefighters 65 minutes to gain entry, contain the fire, and put it out completely within the extensively damaged building.
