Brisbane Loses Electricity Due to Two Different Fires

It was reported Monday night that Brisbane was without electricity due to two different fires. North County Fire Authority said in a press statement that the initial fire was reported around 8:00 p.m. on West Hill Place.

According to the authority, when firefighters arrived at the scene, they discovered a big area of heavy brush and grass that was burning at a sluggish pace of spread. The fire was tough to extinguish due to the dense undergrowth and access problems, but the personnel was able to restrict it to an area of less than an acre and bring it under control by 10 o’clock at night.

It was announced by the proper authorities that firefighters would be stationed nearby all night in case the situation escalated. According to the government, there was no destruction to dwellings or other property, and nobody was hurt in the incident.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the authorities.

On the 2800 block of Bayshore Boulevard, just after 9 o’clock, there were reports of a second fire breaking out. Late on Monday, there was no quick availability of any other information regarding the fire.

The Brisbane Police Department reported just before 10 o’clock that two different fires had caused a citywide blackout. According to the police, Pacific Gas and Electric Company was aware of the problem, but they did not have an estimate for when service would be restored.
