In honor of the upcoming release of the new anime series Tekken: Bloodline on Netflix, the creators of the long-running fighting game franchise have given an exclusive interview. Although Tekken has dabbled in anime with a few releases here and there, this will be the first major anime series based on the property.
It’s a major deal not just for gamers, but also for the people who bring their favorite games to life. But before the release of this new anime, many viewers were left wondering what it would be like.
Producers Katsuhiro Harada (Chief Producer and Game Director on TEKKEN Project at Bandai Namco Entertainment) and Michael Murray (producer on TEKKEN Project) spoke with Netflix about the upcoming anime Tekken: Bloodline in honor of the game’s release on the streaming service this month.

Here they discuss how the initial trailer was received by fans, how the animation is shaping out, and how much of the game’s plot has been adapted for the anime.
