There is no one in the universe who doesn’t know who Tom Cruise is. The star has been in the biggest blockbusters of the century. Be it “Risky Business” or “Top Gun”, he is still a living icon in the industry. Cruise may have a successful professional career but his personal life is totally a shipwreck. The handsome hunk of Hollywood has been married thrice and all three marriages ended up in divorce. And all of them had one major reason, Scientology.
It isn’t an unknown fact that Tom Cruise is a firm believer in Scientology. He is an active member of the Church of Scientology and that has been the main reason for all of his three marriages ending in shambles. But is this the only reason or there are more to it?
Tom Cruise And Mimi Rogers: The First Introduction To Scientology
The Oscar-winning actor was always raised Catholic and he even attended several seminaries since he wanted to be a priest in the future. But when Cruise landed in New York City when only 18 years old, he flourished in his career and became an iconic actor.

With fame came many relationships, he was also in a romantic relationship with the celebrated singer Cher. That didn’t last and Cruise eventually got hitched to Mimi Rogers in the year 1987. Even though the relationship only continued for a few years, it was Mimi who introduced Tom to the Church of Scientology. Soon after this, the couple went totally separate ways with their relationship and Rogers was 33 when she had her divorce from Tom.
Tom Married, Nicole Kidman And Adopted Two Children
In Scientology, everything just cannot be any random coincidence. It is all connected with symbolism and if you read about the significance that the number 33 holds in Scientology, it explains a lot. After divorcing his first wife, when she was 33, Tom was already on the path of embarking on his own Scientology journey.

As a matter of fact, when Cruise married Kidman in 1990, the actress was surprisingly 33 years old. Things got strange and weird after that and the couple adopted two children. After being with each other for a decade, they finally chose to divorce in 2001. Kidman also openly shared about Tom’s weird habits at some points but didn’t reveal much.
Tom And Katie Holmes’s Problematic Marriage
Remember Tom just jumping during his interview with Oprah and screaming about the love he has for Katie Holmes? Well, the relationship took a turn when the couple married in 2006 and then had a daughter named Suri. Nothing to be surprised, they eventually separated, and guess what, Tom was 33 years old at that time. Isn’t that weird?

Moreover, his post-marriage relationship with Katie Holmes took a drastic turn as they were huge media coverage and also a fight for custody. So, things got bitter between them. Ultimately, Katie had custody of Suri but there were many other obligations that she had to follow. These are such as Holmes cannot date anyone for the next five years, she cannot talk about their divorce, and many more.
It is heard that Tom Cruise didn’t meet his daughter Suri for the past 10 years and the icon is trying hard to meet her.
However, post his third divorce, he never married again. Rumors are there that the main reason for all the divorces has been Scientology. The strict rules of the church didn’t sit right with most of Tom’s partners. He is still practicing the religion and is in a top position in the church. Currently, he is dating his “Mission: Impossible 7” co-star Hayley Atwell. She is 38 years old and the actor is 58 years old.
Well, Tom is now focusing on his career and it seems like he won’t be marrying anytime soon. With Scientology and huge net worth, Tom Cruise is not going to live his religion behind. Even if there were other issues in his marriages, the main reason has always been Scientology. What do you think to be the main reason behind Cruise’s end of relationships?
