Is Naruto Uzumaki Gay? Is Sasuke in a Relationship With Naruto?

Naruto is a Japanese manga series created by Masashi Kishimoto. Naruto Uzumaki is a young ninja who longs for respect from his peers and the title of Hokage, the leader of his village, and the novel follows his journey to achieve these goals.

The first half of the story takes place while Naruto is a young adult, and the second half when he is a teenager. The series is based on two one-shot manga by Kishimoto: Karakuri (1995), which got Kishimoto an honourable mention in monthly Hop Shueisha’s Step Award the following year, and Naruto (1997).

One of the reasons why Naruto’s protagonist is so popular is that he is one of the most realistic anime protagonists. But just like every other celebrity, Naruto has been the subject of controversy over several issues, including his sexuality. Certain people do wonder if Naruto is gay.

Is Sasuke in a Relationship With Naruto?

Several occurrences throughout Naruto’s exploits have led many to speculate that our hero may be gay. Naruto’s adventures have led him to do things that some people might see as gay. We’ll look at some of those things in the next few paragraphs.

When Naruto first arrived at the academy in episode 3, he was eager to question Sasuke about the source of his popularity among the female students. A fellow ninja academy student pushed naruto awkwardly as he sat kneeling on the table. When this happened, he and Sasuke kissed accidentally.

Episode 194 of Naruto Shippuden included a very identical sequence, albeit in an entirely new environment. Both of our pals were attempting to free themselves from some kind of odd elastic substance that was holding them. While trying to separate they ended up being attracted to each other with such a power that the scene ended with a kiss between our 2 buddies.

In addition to these two episodes, some have speculated that Naruto’s feelings for Sasuke go beyond just friendship or perhaps love. This, however, has not been confirmed.

What Proves Naruto is Not Gay?

Regarding the aforementioned two sequences, the full episodes establish beyond a shadow of a doubt that the two kisses between Naruto and Sasuke were nothing but a blunder and a lucky break. Indeed during the initial kiss, Naruto had no intention to kiss his pal. He was merely attempting to see how he stacked up. The same can be said for the second scene, in which our two pals attempt to escape the rubber ball.

As for why Naruto cares so much for Sasuke, it’s worth noting that the manga Naruto is full with morals and lessons for living. Most likely, the author wanted us to understand what it was like to be devoted to the very first person we ever thought of as a friend, someone we saw as both a comrade in arms and a rival. Naruto saw how much his absence wounded sakura, his former love, and he was willing to do anything to bring Sasuke back.

In episode 206 of Naruto shippuden Sakura lied to Naruto by telling him that she loves him and that he should forget the vow he made to her before going to hunt for Sasuke. Since Naruto knew Sakura had affections for Sasuke, he immediately saw through the ruse and refused to believe it.

So, in my opinion, Naruto’s primary motivation for trying to get his comrade back to Konoha is to keep his promise to Sakura. No, it wasn’t due to suppressed feelings. In addition, he realized that Sasuke was headed down the road of vengeance, from which there was no turning back. He was making heroic efforts to help his comrade.

Is Naruto Really Gay?

In conclusion, I do not believe that Naruto is gay. He is married and has kids, both of which are clear indicators of his love for female company. Kishimoto overstepped his bounds in his eagerness to demonstrate Naruto’s loyalty to his comrade. It’s possible that this led others to conclude that Naruto had feelings for Sasuke. This is not true or has never been shown to be true.
