Michael B. Jordan in L.A. Nightclub After Lori Harvey Breakup
Lori Harvey has a fresh viewpoint on dating, and it centers on women taking control of their romantic lives. Recently, Lori appeared as a guest on singer and friend Teyana Taylor’s new interview series with Bumble, called Luv2SeeIt. During the interview, Teyana posed a series of questions to the beauty entrepreneur and model, which prompted Lori to reveal details about her love life, relationship values, and dating goals.
At the beginning of her episode, Lori discussed the relationship between red lights and green flags that have been most important to her. “Transparency, openness, and communication” were the three qualities that Lori cited as the most important ones for her, and she emphasized the need to have open and honest discussions regarding commitment. “Enough of these games!”
Red flags? “If you’re too close to your exes,” said Lori, noting that she wouldn’t want a potential partner to be on poor terms with their ex but prefers it when the past is left in the past. Lori also noted that she wouldn’t want a potential partner to be on bad terms with their former.
Teyana and Lori then proceeded to delve even further into Lori’s dating criteria, dissecting the ways in which Lori’s previous relationships have contributed to both her development and her perspective on the love in the present day. “I almost got married young,” Lori confessed, referring to her brief engagement to soccer player Memphis Depay in 2017 when she was 20 years old. At the time, Lori was only 20 years old.

“I had the impression that I hadn’t been through anything. I didn’t have a good understanding of who I was; I didn’t know what I liked or didn’t like about myself. I just get the impression that I haven’t lived my life to the fullest yet.”
Lori referred to the maturation that occurs with age and experience as “wonderful,” underlining the fact that what she wants from a life partner and from life in general at the age of 25 is different from what she desired when she was 21 years old. “Two different attitudes. “Like, I don’t even recognize her anymore,” Lori remarked of the version of herself that she was when she was 21.
“She is not with us anymore… this individual is the one with whom we will be dealing today.” Hindsight, indeed is 20/20. And in the present day, Lori claims that she has arrived at a stage of independence where she is only dating “on my terms” as a result of all that she has learned from the various relationships that she has had over the course of her life.
Teyana was the recipient of her declaration that “however I want to go, whatever I want to do, I’m going to do it.” “And if it’s no longer benefiting me, I’m going to move on,” she said. “I’m going to go on.” This intimate chat with Teyana occurs two months after it became public knowledge that Lori and actor Michael B. Jordan, her boyfriend of nearly two years, had broken up. Jordan was Lori’s boyfriend for almost two years.
Their relationship was the subject of extensive media coverage. In December 2021, Michael declared to The Hollywood Reporter that he had “finally found what love was” with Lori because of the two. According to a report by People, there was a rumor in June 2022 that the couple had divorced because “they weren’t on the same page” concerning commitment and that Lori is “extremely focused on her profession.”

“You can’t spend your life based on what other people are going to think about you or how other people feel because, at the end of the day, it’s your life — so what’s going to make you happy?” Lori asked Teyana. Now, Lori has revealed that she will be exercising a greater degree of autonomy in the intimate connections she maintains and declares that she will not “sacrifice my peace and happiness.”
According to Lori, the things that make her feel the most strong in a relationship are the values, standards, and expectations that she has for herself.
