Amazon Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will debut in less than a week. The events of the Lord of the Rings series take place thousands of years before those of J.R.R. Tolkien’s trilogy, in “an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.”
The second season of the epic series has already been ordered, with a total of five seasons planned. TV Guide is keeping a close eye out for spoilers as more details about the new show become available. All the available details on the show’s launch, its actors, and its plot have been assembled for your convenience. What we know at the moment is as follows.

The Rings Of Power Cast?
The Lord of the Rings of Power features a big ensemble cast packed with A-list celebrities. There will currently be about 40 actors on the show, and they have all been cast. Even though not all of their roles have been disclosed, it appears like the storyline of the series is going to be quite complex and involve a lot of different moving parts.
The following actors and actresses have been confirmed to appear on the show: Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Tom Budge, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Tyrone Muhafidin, Daniel Weyman, Joseph Mawle, Markella Kavenagh, Ema Horvath, Morfydd Clark, Cynthia Addai-Rob
Will Poulter, who appeared in “We’re the Millers,” was also going to be a part of the cast when it was first announced, but he has since withdrawn from consideration owing to schedule difficulties. According to rumors, Robert Aramayo has taken over his position as the protagonist.
The Rings Of Power Film?
Production on the upcoming The Lord of the Rings sequel, The Rings of Power, kicked off in New Zealand in February 2020. Midway through March, the production was halted because of the widespread COVID-19 virus infection. The output of the show went on hiatus until it was granted the green light to continue.
It wasn’t until September of 2020 that production on the show picked back up again. The director of the first two episodes, J.A. Bayona (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), has indicated that filming for his attacks will be finished by the end of 2020. In March of 2021, it was announced that Wayne Che Yip (Doctor Who, Doom Patrol) would be directing four episodes.

Production on those episodes began shortly after that. The director for two episodes scheduled for May 2021 is Charlotte Brändström (The Witcher). The number of stunt-related injuries on the sets was reportedly high. Amazon has already released a statement calling rumors of widespread injuries on the scene “absolutely untrue.”
As of right now, it is unknown when the show’s first season will be finished filming. Benjamin Walker, in an interview with Collider, said that it is difficult to predict how long the production process may take. “It’s a little unclear right now,” he admitted. They’ll release us when they’re done with us; we’ve been here for a long time.”
