Why Florence Pugh Broke Up With Zach Braff?

In a new interview Florence Pugh announced that she and Zach Braff who had been romantically associated since 2019 had broken up. The couple known for being one of Hollywood’s most secretive couples broke up early this year.

“We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on,” Pugh told. “We just felt something like this would really benefit us from not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done that. I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it.”

Pugh also condemns the hysteria surrounding the private lives of celebrities. “Whenever I feel like that line has been crossed in my life, whether it’s paparazzi taking private moments or moments that aren’t even real or gossip channels that encourage members of the public to share private moments of famous people walking down the street, I think it’s incredibly wrong,” she says. “I don’t think that people just because they have this job that every aspect of their life should be watched and written about. We haven’t signed up for a reality TV show.”

Understandably they’d want to keep to themselves. Florence Pugh and Zach Braff have both had to defend their relationship from sexist comments made because of the 21-year age gap between them (Pugh is 26 while Braff is 47). The Little Women actress spoke to The Sunday Times last year about the flood of nasty comments she received after wishing Braff a happy 46th birthday on Instagram.

She remarked at the time, “I think it bugs people that it’s not who they expected.” “But it’s my life and I’m not doing anything to please people or to make it a better headline or story. I want to also be a person!” Braff and Pugh collaborated on the upcoming film A Good Person before they broke up. Braff, the film’s director specifically cast Pugh in a significant role.

“The movie that we made together genuinely was probably one of my most favorite experiences,” Pugh told. “It felt like a very natural and easy thing to do.”
