Cardi B has entered a guilty plea to two charges coming from her role in a pair of physical altercations that occurred at a New York strip club four years ago. Both of the accusations arise from the same incident.

After two female bartenders at the Angels club in Queens, New York, accused the rapper of orchestrating and participating in assaults that took place at the club, Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, was charged with misdemeanor assault and reckless endangerment for the first time in 2018.

Cardi’s real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar. It was alleged that Cardi had given the order for her associates to assault the women using bottles and chairs physically. Cardi avoided a criminal trial and the possibility of serving jail time by entering a guilty plea to both charges in exchange for a settlement on Thursday (September 15).

Instead, the rapper was given a sentence of 15 days of community service and obliged to comply with protection orders for the two victims that were valid for a period of three years each. Cardi stated that taking responsibility for one’s conduct is an essential component of growing up and maturing.

The prosecution stated that on two separate occasions throughout the month of August 2018, the rapper and her crew arrived at the club after 3 a.m. The group is accused of assaulting one of the victims on the first occasion by hitting her, smashing her head into the bar, and yanking her hair.

Two weeks later, the group allegedly came back and attacked the second victim. In the case, another bartender, who is also the sister of the lady who was assaulted during the first incident. The prosecution stated that the group threw alcohol and bottles at the second victim in the case.

In 2019, Cardi was indicted on a dozen charges related to the incident, including two counts of felony assault. These accusations stemmed from the fact that she allegedly assaulted another person. The rapper entered a plea of not guilty to all of the allegations against him.

Aside from the two misdemeanor charges to which Cardi has pleaded to, which are reckless endangerment in the second degree and assault in the third degree, all of the charges have been dropped against her. Melinda Katz, the district attorney for Queens, was quoted as saying in a statement that “No one is above the law.”

“By entering guilty pleas today, Ms. Belcalis Almanzar and two co-defendants have admitted that they are responsible for the activities they have taken,” the judge said. The resolution, which contains the necessary amount of community service, has been accepted with satisfaction by this office.
