We are now in “Big Brother Season 24” but fans are very much hooked on the identity of Zingbot. If you are an avid watcher of “Big Brother,” you may have noticed the Zingbot by now. From roasting the competitors to revealing the dirt of secrets of the same, Zingbot is a game changer. It is a robot that seems to have all the information but there is a twist. Fans have often wondered who is the true person behind the character of Zingbot. Does the robot function on someone else’s command? Audiences have been time and again interested to know who plays Zingbot. Well, the answer is revealed and you will learn about the true identity of Zingbot.
Who Plays Zingbot?
Many different questions come to one’s mind when we talk about Zingbot. The first thing that comes to mind about Zingbot is“Big Brother.”
The sassy remarks and the savage revelations have disappointed many contestants as well. There have been times when even the audiences admit that Zingbot’s comment went out of line. The most derogatory comments were on people’s weight and their absence of social life which they wanted to explain the pandemic ironically. But whatever it is, these comments cannot be justified in any way.
The robot debuted halfway through the “Big Brother” franchise. It was in “Big Brother Season 12” when the Zingbot was first introduced. It left an impact on the audience from the first time it appeared.
The voice that we have been so addicted to once said that it isn’t that robot that does all the talking. This is a person wearing a costume and it is in reality, a remote speaker who is in charge of delivering each insult to the contestants. So, it did shock people that the creators are allowed to pass such rude comments at times even after it undergoes proper scrutiny every time.
Moreover, to the ones who have always considered it to be robots passing those comments, it is a different story altogether. Next time you hear the Zingbot giving a rude comment on the “Big Brother” franchise, remember that it is a real person saying all of these. That’s why there is always logic and intention to direct these insults which might not sit right with certain contestants or audiences. There is no technology or AI used to create these messages organically. If you have had this notion as of now, we are sorry to disappoint you. In short, “there is a man behind the curtain, and a person in the robot.”
How Did The Contestants And Audience React to Zingbot?
We are pretty sure you remember the problematic Josh Martinez in “Big Brother Season 22,” he was much disliked by the audiences. However, the comments that Zingbot passed on to Josh weren’t appreciated by the audience only. They considered that the words went too far and it wasn’t appreciated at all.
Similarly, former contestant Andy Herren once tweeted that there isn’t any fancy AI associated with Zingbot. It is just an additional way to entertain the audience. Even that was understood by the audience. But the people behind these costumes may also keep changing. Like once, Britney Haynes claimed that there was a woman who acted as the Zingbot and she passed out when the entire team was helping. It was quite a scary moment since she was in her costume and people couldn’t understand that she was severely sick. So, when she went absolutely silent, emergency technicians in the set rushed to help her. Though nothing serious happened, the contestants knew that it would be a different person every day.
This Zingbot situation is quite similar to that of people who work in Disney World as well as theme parks. They keep changing to meet the requirements of the situation. Some contestants did say that what hurt the most was knowing the fact that a real person is insulting them and they cannot do anything to stop it.
Even during “Big Brother Season 24” that aired back on Sunday, 4th September 2022, the classic Zingbot roasted Alyssa Snider and said, “Alyssa, when I see you I can’t help but think of a heavy winter coat in the desert. Deadweight and completely useless. Zing!”
The recurring character is also known for spilling truths and this time, so was the case. However, Zingbot is the meanest character in the house and it is a fact.
As “Big Brother Season 24” is about to have its finale, fans watch every bit of the story. So, what do you think about the Zingbot of “Big Brother”?
