While both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were present, with the Duke of Sussex attending many professionals encompassing the historic day their son and daughter named Archie and Lilibet, both were not there in any event of their great-grandmother’s demise.

Where were Harry and Meghan’s children during the queen’s funeral?

Archie and Lilibet were at home in Montecito, California while Harry and Meghan headed off to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are all set to get back to California to reunite with their kids.

Katie Nicholl, royal expert said on Monday “I think we’ll probably see the Sussexes on their way back to America very soon. Of course, their children are over there.” It has already been quite a long time since Harry and Meghan are away from their children as both of them reached Manchester, England last month on September 5 to attend the One Young World Summit.

Harry and Meghan joined his older brother, Prince William and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton in the United Kingdom outside Windsor Castle to greet mourners during the ongoing events for the queen’s demise. Both the brothers were also in attendance in an emotional farewell since the queen’s coffin was lying-in-state at Westminster Hall around the weekend.

Then on Monday, Harry and Meghan participated in the queen’s state funeral at Westminster Abbey. In the processional, Harry walked from Westminster Abbey to Wellington Arch behind the queen’s coffin whereas Meghan went in a car with the Countess of Wessex, Sophie.

After that, the pair returned to St. George’s Chapel where they had their 2018 royal wedding, but this time for the funeral service for the majesty’s coffin.

While Archie and Lilibet didn’t attend the events of the queen’s death, the 9-year-old Prince George, 9, and 7-year-old Princess Charlotte were seen on Monday attending the funeral. Charlotte even sat beside her uncle at St. George’s Chapel after Prince William asked the Sussexes to sit in the same seat as his family.

Well, it has a heart-touching moment for the royal family after the queen’s death. King Charles III became the new monarch and was emotional during the queen’s funeral. Reportedly, he has returned to Balmoral Castle, where the queen passed away, to have some “private time” after the funeral.
