Gigi Hadid has had it up to here with Kanye West and she has spoken out against him for attacking her friend, the contributing editor at Vogue, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson.
The fashion critic called his highly controversial Paris show “irresponsible” on Instagram, prompting West to post photos of the critic and criticize her own fashion choices. Hadid quickly came to her friend’s defense by responding to one of his bullying posts.
On October 4th, she commented on an Instagram post by saying, “You wish u had a percentage of her intellect.” “Seriously, you have no idea… She might be the only one who can save you if there’s any point to any of your bs. Just because someone has the ‘honor’ of being on your show doesn’t mean they shouldn’t share their thoughts. Lol. The only thing funny about you is that you’re a bully.”
Hadid posted two Instagram Stories in support of Karefa-Johnson: one was a repost from Vogue writer José Criales-Unzueta and the other was a Business of Fashion post featuring a photo of Karefa-Johnson alongside the caption, “I love you.” “Among the most influential people in this field today. Could teach that odious man more than he realizes what he doesn’t know.”
When West unveiled his collection on live stream, it was flooded with “White Lives Matter” tees and immediately received a lot of backlash for its controversial message. The designer reportedly told the audience that this collection marked the beginning of a “new frontier,” as reported by E! News. He told the crowd, “This is an uncontrollable situation.” This is the dream of God and it can’t come true without God’s intervention.
